Does anyone else have vivid dreams about tornados?

I do, but only when I watch tornado shows for a few hrs that night.

Have them somewhat regularly.

I did when I lived in a tornado prone area.

The last two nights Ive had extremely vivid dreams about Tornadoes. The first was just of them starting to form, multiple funnel clouds everywhere in the sky. The second was a bit more strange. There were multiple tornadoes. Its almost as if they're slow motion but everything else is moving at normal speed, and yet it still causes the same destruction. I remember looking out the window in my dream and I saw about a dozen tornadoes half formed begin to touch down. My apt only faces the back so something told me even though I couldn't see the others, there were probably just as many on the other side. There was one as close as 10 feet away. I ran to the basement with my 4 yr old son and hubby for hours, nothing happened, no wind no noise just dead silence. So I went back to the apt alone to check it out, I looked out the window and all the houses were gone, but the tornadoes were still there. I looked for the one that was close to us and I couldn't see it anymore until I looked up and saw it on top of our roof, and then I ran for the door to go back to the basement but woke up before I got there.

Those dreams were back to back so...I don't want to go to sleep tonight

I used to always dream about tornados..

When my life was in complete chaos. So that's prolly why. for me it was at least :)

I had onlt 1 tornado dream in my life. There was 3 tornadoes, and they were being chased by a STORM.

No. I dont live in an area that has tornadoes....or tsunamis...so that may account for it.

YES, I am having terrible nightmares about being on a beach and seeing a tidal wave approaching that is the size of a huge mountain. When I'm not dreaming about monstrous tidal waves and saving people from them, I'm dreaming of fearing for my life while several tornadoes are approaching at the same time. Sure it could be because 1) the world is changing. There are so many signs of that now including the economy, diseases like the swine flu, obesity, and aids. There's unpredictable weather, gloom and doom predictions, etc... Maybe we are sensitive to these changes and getting scared subconsciously. 2) It could be that we are all taking some kind of medication that causes these dreams like allergy meds. A side effect of Benedryl, Claritin, or who knows, what we eat or breathe? 3) Or it could be that the Bible was right about God pouring out His spirit on His people, and that old men (and old women) shall dream dreams and young men (and women and children) shall have visions like it says in Joel chapter 2 verse 28. Remember that time has no meaning to God because He created time and space so I'm not calling anyone old or young at any specific age. I'm only repeating what the Bible says. Sooooo, how old are you guys! LOL! hehehehe

I have been having many reoccurring dreams regarding tornado's. It comes in a series of dreams over 3 or 4 days. These dreams are intense, it almost always starts with me observing the clouds feeling the air change and then seeing the bottom clouds go up while the ones up top start racing down, first its slow and then it starts to spin really fast, and a tornado is formed. Usually its multiple tornado. I remember one when I was in the city, ny and On the Hudson tornado's started to form, and a mass panic of people seeking shelter. Other times i see them forming in the mountains. One dream that was particularly frightening was when I was driving back home on a highway and i could see the weather changing to dark black until I could finally see tornado's all around and heavy downpour. In my dream I floored it along with the other drivers until finally the tornado's subsided, but their was Heavy flooding, and the highway was crawling through 3 feet of water. Finally I arrived to the city and up in the sky HUGE circles started appearing all over, Bright as day. Some would be completely filled with light others would just be rings, and I remember looking up at the sky and just feeling mass fear and helplessness.

Yep, these are my primary recurring dreams. Multiple tornados. They take place in a world of concrete and cityscape with nothing green.

Yes, last night I had a dream...it was a beautiful clear day...blue skys...big billowing white clouds...and God's hand was centered in this radiant sky...I was standing with someone else...in a calm, peaceful manner I said, God's Hand. Quickly, the scene showed a large black funnel cloud, a tornado...the winds were picking up speed...paper balls were coming at me...and missed. I was holding on to a tree root...it broke...I walked down the street and the storm was across the street.

I knew this girl named Dorothy Gale who did once and in her dream along with a tornado there were witches and munchkins and...oh wait that was a movie, never mind.

Yes, had them all my life and I'm 43 now. What is so vivid about mine are the number of twisters, I start out seeing one outside my window, then 2, then 3, and then the entire sky is filled with too many to count.

i had a dream last night about tornadoes, i was outside with my dad goin to shoot his shotgun on side of a ditch and i looked up and this red cloud with massive lighting strikes was passing and it dissapeered, right after this cloud leaves at least 5 or 4 funnel clouds started to take place, as we run for shelter in his patio all these people showed up, like my brother my friend's and so forth, as were gripping the walls to hold on and the building his falling apart, none of seemed harmed, how ever that's when i woke up.

Last night I had another Tornado Dream..This is my thord one in the last 18 months.... Living in California all my life I have never seen a tornado nor do I hear much about them other than a T.V News event....

However last night I was in Texas I believe coming out of a Walmart with another person, a friend of mine was with me, I don't have a recollection of who she was, but I was walking with her, anyway's I lost her somehow in the parking lot, and I happened to look up and saw burning trees in fact huge trees on fire all around and I saw one huge funnel cloud coming out of one of the burning trees, I ran back to the Walmart and stood in front of the glass doors at Walmart, not scared but concerned, other's were standing there as well.... I saw the funnel cloud go past with me but I noticed a small cicrcular wind cloud near me and I walked up to it and kicked it, to ruin it's spin and it did.. I awoke after that..


I don't know what all these tornado dreams are trying to tell me, I do know I am always protected from the tornadoes coming my way.....

Yes I've had them since I was a little kid. Just last night I had one and for the first time in one of my tornado dreams I was actually in the tornado. My mom also has them a lot. Most of the time it means your confused about something but honestly you would know what it means according to what is going on in your life at the time of the dream.

I have had vivid dreams about tornados for about 20 years....
AND THEY ARE VIVID!!!
Each time I have one, I am about to experience some major change in my life that might be a little traumatic in my life...
The last time I had one, I woke up and sat up immediately and started crying because I knew something was about to happen....In this dream, I found my kids and they were ok. But, IN REAL LIFE, They came home from their dad's about a week latter and said they wanted to move in with him. Then a month later I moved from Tulsa, to Phoenix. Everyone's moved ended up being in everyone's best interest, but was very emotional

So, they don't always have a bad ending, I just usually prepare myself for an unexpected change in my life.

Ooops, my bad. Thought it said tomatos. Actually I dream about pickles. Sometimes telephone poles.

Go to bed children.

All the time. It is, for the most part, the only bad dream I have.

I used to have tornado dreams and planes crashing dreams. They were so realistic, the planes would explode and as they fell I heard screams, the pieces would fall down around me like fiery metal rain. The tornado dreams usually had me out in the open, running, I would find an abandoned house, go inside and I was usually safe. Then one of the last ones, the tornado destroyed the house, I was in. I awoke, and haven't dreamed another since.

I dream of tornados all the time i see them forming heading my way and i run. Sometime along with that there is flooding and cows in the sea. Or i see a lion. Sometimes i hear angeks singing but dont know what they are singing or a rainbow crystalizes, turns indigo and breaks into crystals. Sometimes the sky goes white and a black hole is ripped onto the sky or it turns black with a red cloud in the form of a face speaking. Also sometimes im on a montain watching charleston wv being destroyed by tornados and fire. One other dream i was on the beach to the left a guy in black to the right and a little behind me a guy in white. The guy in black said you know god is nothing come with us you can be queen. I dream alot like this can anyone give me a clue. Last night alone i dreamed of 5 tornados forming side by side just feet away from me. I just want to understand please any help, words of wisdom would be great. I also live in charleston wv so we dont really have tornados or forest fires. I also knew about katrina before it formed and the newest earthquake 2 days before it happened. Something told me to leave the building and i did i also took the stairs that day from the 6th floor. Anyone with anything please advise.

I do but I am a tornado survivor from 2009 (it destroyed my home and cars but we survived and are thankful for that)

I had a vivid dream that I was running away on foot from a large twister.

I ran under a large road bridge and crawled up into the apex of the structure.

The twister homed in on me and sucked me clean out shortly after lift-off I awoke heart racing.

I've had many dreams about tornadoes, and sometimes, there were quite a few of them. But I always saw them in the distance. Last night, however, I dreamed that a tornado had hit my house. I could feel the pressure and could see the destruction. I had never looked up the meaning, I just did, and the meaning hit it on the spot what was going on in my life at the time I only " saw" the tornadoes, and what is currently going on in my life after the tornado hit.

I had a dream of a tornado and it has bothered me every sense. My husband and mother were looking out the window and frantically started saying a tornado is coming... I was standing behind them but didnt seem bothered by it. Somehow we ended up in the basement and I was still in my house but there was a big window in the basement in my dream that isn't in my home. It was coming down our street destroying everything in its path. As it moved closer to our house my mom and husband were saying "we're going to die" and i said: "we're not going to die" I started speaking to the tornado in the name of Jesus and the strangest thing happened... The tornado stopped suddenly and stood up on two legs and it seemed to have a demonic face but stayed in its place and didn't move forward... It just stood there on two legs looking at me. Then I woke up... I have no idea what it could mean. If anyone has a clue I would love the feedback. This is the 1st and only time I have dreamed this.
