Does anyone else have vivid dreams about tornados?

it could just be a major event in your life about to happen... but maybe you are seeing the future of the world (more likely if you have prophetic dreams about the world rather than mostly about your life).

i've had many of those in my life time.

but it stopped some time ago...now i have vivid dreams/lucid dream of ufos...right after dreaming of tornadoes. i watch ships slowly approaching earth. they have complicated forms which look similar to boomerangs, triangles, squares and some other, more complicated, shapes. they seem to approach earth in huge fleets..."jumping" from one point to another and are approaching in this way.

the only ones i always have bad feeling about are the disks and the cigar shaped ones...but they're already here...they don't have to approach earth.

and if tornadoes seriously mean "radical changes" and i now dream of ufos...well..guess what that means

oh yeah, i'm not one of those "ufo nutters"...i don't care too much about ufos...ya know...

I had one 2 nights ago - it usually mean big BIG changes are coming for me.

I was turning my lower body into a tornado and flying around saving people from big tornados.

yeah same here... UFOs Tornadoes and black holes and are sun going out and changing colors.

it went out for 3 days then we all went to sleep when we woke up everything was different. everything was cleaned up and some people had strange powers.

I haven't had one for awhile, but they are all different
with one common theme--I am screaming; trying to tell family members and even people (I dream about people I don't even know) that this tornado is coming and they don't
either hear me or don't seem worried. I'm usually trying to
convince them that we need to seek shelter immediately and
they just don't get it. The dreams are very vivid and real. Another common thread is many times I am in an unfamiliar setting but it is still very vivid. Once I dreamt we were in a very large shed out in the country...
you could see it coming and yet no one seemed like they
noticed. These dreams are my most vivid.

I used to have them quite often until one finally hit our house in 2006. My wife knew I had the dreams and got the family downstairs quickly when she noticed the glass on the gas fireplace bowing in during a storm. After it hit I stopped having the dreams.

Not since I kicked out my drug-induced, violent prone psychotic spouse.

i was having them wicked vivid las few months. i get up lookout my window in backyard. kinda strange.

It also depends how bad the tornado is in the dream. You have to pay attention in the dream to see if the tornado touches down in your area or not. It could mean that major devastation is about to take place, but then the storm turns and misses you. These are some examples of what it might mean if that happens...(Everyone that you work with begins losing their job, but you get to keep yours, or all your friends have trouble in their relationship, but yours isn't affected. Stuff of that nature meaning that it affects everyone around you, but misses you.) However if it hits YOUR HOUSE, then it is not good news for your family. Your house represents your family. Do you remember anymore details about where it hit, or if you were hiding from it or anything of that nature?

I had a dream about a tornado just last night. The kids and I were at a hotel on a beach for some reason, vacationing I guess. The next thing I know we are running down the stairs, headed towards the basement, I grabbed blankets to cover the kids up with. I briefly remember looking out a window and seeing the tornado coming straight towards the hotel. It came by but never touched the hotel. When we looked out the window again the tornado was gone but a new one was forming, but not as big as the first one. After that passed the skies cleared and there was a beautiful sunset, I just had to take a picture of it. There was some damage to the surrounding hotels.
I have had many dreams about tornados but woke up before I saw the destruction of it. This was the first time I saw the damage that was left and most importantly the beautiful sunset after.

When I first read the topic title I thought it said, Does anyone have vivid dreams about tomatoes. Oh well! I have never dreamed about either tornadoes or tomatoes but your post was interesting.

I had a vivid dream of a tornado a day ago. I had a sister of my church, who's eight months pregnant, with me, and my 11 year old cousin. We avoided the tornado for several times "god was protecting us" , but when we went to sleep, it approached a shack we were in and I heard a voice say "Where's your God now?" and I felt how it sucked us in and I felt how it was ripping my legs apart(I woke up with my legs numbed)All the time I was dreading the thought of dying in such way, and I was thinking of the 3 persons I had with me!
It was horrifying! I'm just worried of the interpretations I've read =/

Tornadoes in dreams can also be strong sexual symbols.

i do, and plane crashes... not being involved in one, but standing on the ground and seeing one crash.

And it's never just one tornado. It's always multiple tornadoes.

I also have many dreams about lightning. But it's not normal lightning. The lightning doesn't just hit the ground and then it's done with. It hits the ground and keeps a constant electrical charge going. Then it follows me. Really scary shit.

Yes! I have had dreams of tornadoes since I was a child and now I am 46. I just had a dream a couple of weeks ago. All my dreams are seeing the tornado coming. I seek shelter in a house or if in town seek a bulding. I am never alone when the tornado is coming. I am always helping someone or someones to seek shelter and they listen we are never arguing or trying to convince them. I either wake up before the tornado hits or I feel this wind that is weird that goes thru my body and I am holding on for dear life! Only once I was inside the tornado I was not dead. I could see the winds rotating but could not feel anything? I see mainly the thin tornadoes 1,2 or 3 either at a time or together. I see the tornado come down go back up and another one and each time seeking shelter. I been in houses or buildings, even under bridges in my dreams. I am always scared of tornado watches or bad storms, looking at the clouds just uneasy feeling all the time. I also want to see a tornado to mabybe confront my dreams in a way. This does bother me and at least I found others and not just me having this dream.

I use to as a teenager. I'd always hear or see them coming, and try to get somewhere safe... usually under a bed.

Then they would lift me (and the torn up house debris) into the air.

Spitting me out hundreds of feet in the air.... unharmed. (except for being hundreds of feet in the air)

I always woke up before I hit the ground... usually scared to death.

They seems to be a reoccurring theme for me. Last night I had a dream that there were several F1's forming around my neighborhood. Everyone was so afraid but I thought they were all crazy. I took a parachute made from a tent and started jumping in and out of each tornado as if it were a game. It was fun until I woke up and thought I had dirt in my mouth.

My Dad was a weatherman and we got all of the good literature about tornadoes when I was young....morbid fascination...

There have been 8 funnel clouds in my area in the last 8 days.

Ok, Its good to know that im not the only one that has had dreams with twisters and others, Ive had these dreams on and off since I was a teen.. I always thought it was the end of the world dreams,but not so... Wen my life is crazy I get these dreams,when my life is running smoothly these dreams dont happen. I never die in these dreams but Im always running from mor than 1 Twister... Running into old buildings and new,also breaking windows to get into homes for saftty. Some time the twister hits where Im at but, Im always safe. Some times it misses,Sometimes Im on the road driving and running from them..These dream feel so real.Its pretty amazing...I think when ther is troubl or your brain is in over drive these dreams come. Ive also had dreams about being at the ocean and a tidle wave comes and my daughter and my self are running from that..Tramma in a persons life and stress can cause this..
