About a year ago I had this attractive guy sing the song "You're Beautiful" to me in the market parking lot as I loaded my groceries into the car. I was a little embarrassed because other people were watching and smiling but I was really flattered. His voice was great and the way he did it was really cute. Some of the people watching clapped when he was done singing it.

When he was done he introduced himself and asked if I would go have coffee with him but I was not available at that time so I had to say no. Now that I am available I dream of this guy. Hopefully I will run into him again.

I'm middle aged now and recently got in touch with a whole bunch of people, separately, from my younger days, and mostly males.

What astounds me is how many of them are now "confessing" how they adored me back then and never told me.

Nobody ever told me. They were all too scared to.

It made my cry at first, because of frustration - I was a beautiful girl, but I had low self esteem and didn;t realize it at the time - because nobody ever told me, nobody had the guts, and as a result, I never married or had kids. And yet, one of them in particular said "I would have married you" and it's like, "WHy, why didn;t you tell me?"

I had no idea, I was lonely too, and just thought I was considered untouchable in some way or other.

Don't hold back through fear of rejection. You'll help her, you'll help you be fearless in your expression, and who knows?
