i hadn't paid much attention to the goat book,
until i heard Woodward mention a "secret weapon"
in Iraq on tv. he said they had developed a way to find the insurgent leaders, and kill them.

but he declined to say what it was, due to probably being afraid for his own life.

the goat book was seen as a fanciful flight of the imagination to most, it was too fantastic.

but now i have to wonder a bit.

Ronson's finely written book strikes a perfect balance between curiosity, incredulity, and humor. His characters are each more bizarre than the last, and Ronson does a wonderful job of depicting the colorful quirks they reveal in their often-comical meetings. Through a charming guile, he manages to elicit many strange and amazing revelations. Ronson meets a general who is frustrated in his frequent attempts to walk through walls.

One source says the U.S. military has deployed psychic assassins to the Middle East to hunt down Al Qaeda suspects.

here's a blurb on what Woodward said:

On CBS 60 Minutes program (09-07-08), Bob Woodward, of the Washington Post, promoting his new book "The War Within"' revealed a new secret weapon being used in Iraq ("secret operational capability").

Saying it was a major breakthough in weaponry, akin (in importance) to the breakthrough of the tank and the airplane, Woodward said if the insurgent leaders knew of its capabilities, they would get their a** out of town.

This weapon is the secret weapon behind the success of of the surge.

He refused to go into any deeper detail, except to intimate it was used to locate, target and eliminate leaders of the insurgency. He did say it was a top secret and that it was a breakthrough weapon. It is used to locate and kill leaders of Al Qaeda and other insurgent militias and groups..

He said It is the stuff of which war novels are made..

Psychic warfare. Great. Wait til they turn around and use it on the public.

Or have they done that already?
