Careful, though, that song will stick in your head! Do you remember the part at the end of the movie where he's playing the guitar and she's doing that awkward dance?? Some scary shit right there, I hope they didn't decide to have kids! LOL.

Re: Who Remembers Mystery Science Theater 3000!!!??!!
Remember when they had "Turkey Bowl" one year around thanksgiving on whatever channel MST3K was on. Man, it had to have been in the early 90s. I about laughed my butt off! I can't remember the episodes, but I recall one had to do with poorly designed little fuzzy creatures.

As an MST3K purist, I have to go with Joel. His deadpan delivery and sarcasm was too much!
Although I must admit Mike grew on me as the years passed. He was never as funny as Joel, but he had his moments.
As for the robots, I could have gotten along without Gypsy. She was annoying and reminded me of an old hag grandmother's voice. Servo was decent, but Crow T. Robot was definitely the funniest. That's probably because he was so quick-witted.

Quoting: SlingBlade
I agree, Joel and Crow T. Robot were amazingly hilarious. And even though they all had a script to follow, those two were exceptionally great at improvisation.

I like the shorts as well. One of my favorites was called "A date with your family" or something like that. It was one of those 1950's style home economics videos. Priceless!
Another good short had this animated spring in it named "Coilee" Coilee was there to remind this guy of the importance of springs. The guy mistakenly wished the springs out of existence when he was unable to fix his sofa.
"No springs. Heeehhheee heheh eheheheh heee" was Coilee's phrase. Annoying, but hilarious nonetheless!

Re: Who Remembers Mystery Science Theater 3000!!!??!!
I used to live in Minneapolis at the time, watching it on "the kitten that roars" (a very short-lived local station).
It was sad when the Comedy Central people "found" it, and acted as if they were the first ones to ever appreciate it's dry and absurd sense of humor. Gross. They almost ruined it for me.
The show reeks of Minneapolis, with it's dry wit, puppets and production values.

There was a really strange one, set in Scandinavia. Very mystical, and just plain bizarre. Can't remember the name though, it's been so long.
The best line from that one was a shot of the bleakest Scandinavian winter scene with Joel stating something to the effect of "the Duluth chamber of commerce thanks you for visiting". Inside joke, obviously. But hilarious.
