I did not do much, probably a tablesooon in a big glass of water Quoting: yuk 457598That's too much. Stir one teaspoon into about six ounces of water. Be sure to eat some food first ... never drink apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach! And be sure it's real apple cider vinegar. Read the label carefully, because it will often say apple cider flavored vinegar ... and the word "flavored" may be in very small print. . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 58109 United States 09/20/2008 06:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been using apple cider vinegar topically for almost two weeks now on my big black mole on the side of my face. I currently have a bandaid over it and it lost it's black color and is now pink. Finding that garlic gets rid of moles too, but right now just trying ACV. It seems to work. Others online mention that if you use a cotton ball held on by bandaid, after three days primarily the mole fell off and left a little pink scar. This method I did not want to do because the cotton ball is a little bigger and would effect the skin around the mole, so I have been q-tipping it every chance I get with ACV. So far, it seems to work, but still waiting for the mole to fall off and heal my skin. Sorry about your drinking experiment, but you probably just drank too much in a short time. I do know that instead of taking an anti-acid, just drink a 'little' ACV because when you have not enough stomach acid you get heartburn, anti-acid pills tell your body to excrete more acid in the stomach... thus asking your body to work harder. Drink a 'little' ACV and it fills that low stomach acid back to where it should have been and your body doesn't have to do a dang thang. Good luck. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 447172 United States 09/21/2008 06:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This seems to make sense to me, how acidic ACV is. It's probably eating your tooth enamel away too, if you don't give your mouth a water bath afterwords. Maybe just eat a salad next time and use ACV as a dressing? You'll probably still fart and shat yourself, but it might be a little easier to tolerate. |

It should clear up after a few days. But if it continues, stick a hose up your bung and fill yourself up with warm water. Then cut your ballast loose. That should fix you right up. Unless of course it kills you first. |

As a prophylactic. White vinegar is also an excellent after shave and will prevent razor bumps and acne. Simply shave. Splash it on. Howl in pain because it smarts. Then rinse. Repeat. I used to get breakouts all the time. Now I don't get any. Vinegar. God's miracle fluid. |

One small can sardines, add ACV, add cayenne pepper powder or sauce (amount varies what ever you can handle) add 1 crushed clove garlic, add teaspoon olive oil. Eat with crackers and enjoy. I like mustard with mine. Have some red wine with it. |

Baking soda is great for lowering your acidity...the way I understand it is that too much acv can damage your teeth...the baking soda is supposed to take care of that.. PS...if you ever get fever blisters inside your mouth it's a huge sign that your acidity levels are off....make a baking soda paste w/baking soda and water and apply to the fever blister (canker sores)....tastes like shit but keep it in your mouth as long as you can.....no lie it cures those suckers... Baking soda tastes horrible. And if you use it for toothpaste, make sure you're careful, that stuff is very abrasive. Also, I'd have to question whther people suggesting adding baking soda and vinegar have ever actually tried to mix the two. It creates a chemical reaction, an awesome one at that. I wouldn't be taking the two at the same time. |

HILLIS User ID: 632066 Canada 01/20/2012 01:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi I never get heartburn, reflux or gerd but do have poor digestion due to liver issues, must be low enzymes I just tried 1 HCL near the end of my meal and got horrible gas, I dont think there was enough -- I probably need 3 or 4 ? Or I have enough acid and it did some type of cleanse in the liver or elsewhere??? I am confused: I was taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar -- some about 5 mins before food and the rest with food and was working great. But here is the confusion: apple cider vinegar is suppose to make your stomach very alkaline from what i read, and HCL makes your stomach acidic, does it not? I first thought that ACV was acidic but reading it does not have this effect Also, a word of note: if I drink a couple glasses of white wine before a meal then my digestion is great -- what does the white wine do? Same as ACV or is it acidic ....... I have liver issues and since ACV is vinegar would this harm the liver, perhaps only if take a lot? it should detox the liver and body from what I read thanks |
