WHY THE PREPONDERANCE OF "SUPERHEROES" AND "MUTANTS" IN POPULAR CULTURE TODAY???	Quote
I'm watching the preview for the third season of heroes and I just realized that for the last couple of years we've had movies about mutants, x-men, and all things untermenschen and hyper evolution related. Are we being conditioned for something? Will super powers soon manifest in the general population? Will Nephilim soon land on earth? discuss.

Interesting thought, OP. Although "The Guy" is right, it does make you wonder a bit.

I actually enjoyed the first season of Heroes (haven't seen much of the 2nd) and found myself asking the same question. Mostly because it dealt with "necessary evil" to "promote the greater good" in some who were going to "allow" the potential disaster in NY to happen so that it would "unite the people".

Interesting, eh? I feel like there was other things I found interesting, but all in all - it is a wildly popular show and you always have to wonder about the content when that happens.

They're just a part of the larger picture which includes all those 'woo woo' paranormal/supernatural shows as well. There are so many of them now, that I've lost track. And...you can include the recent change of attitude toward the UFO phenomenon on television (even on the news!).

It's acclimation.

We're collectively getting primed for a new reality, where science as we know it is falling by the wayside, and the science that's been hidden for decades is coming to the surface.

All in all, it will be more of a metaphysical consensus reality.
