I guess it comes down to who you believe. Most people believe in God, in some fashion or other. Others believe in "science" and scientists, who are just stupid people like the rest of us and are only right about 30% of the time. So, do you believe in God or do you believe in people you don't even know? Faith in God, Faith in People. It's not that difficult a choice.

Not all professed Christians tow the fundamentalist line that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and is to be interpreted literally. In fact, those who actually can think ignore large parts because it doesn't make any sense.

Many Christians do not believe in jihad against the Muslims either or that all the Jews have to be killed or converted for Jesus to come back.

But the major tenets of Jesus' version of Christianity are a wonderful code to live by.

I'm not in any way religious but I've seen pix of dinosaurs prints along with human footprints & this at least made me wonder; I'm giving Palin the benefit of the doubt here when I say that co-existence between humans and dinosaurs might have been possible if there were any dinosaur 'survivors' after most were wiped out.

As for 'Jesus returning in her lifetime' - hope is not fact, Sarah.

A large percentage of normal Christians consider these folk the equivalent of the Muslim Taliban. In all major religions, there is the full spectrum of adherents.

Moderates or (gasp) Liberals aren't in the habit of forcibly converting other religions or those with different dogmas within. That's why people don't hear so much about them.

This reactionary, dominionist end of the spectrum has caused major divisions within the religion even as they are waging their holy war.

They are truly possessed and terribly repressed, in my opinion, which is why they focus on casting out demons from others. Like Palin's Kenyan witch doctor AOG pastor.

I do admire someone that has the strength in her convictions to speak openly about them without shame. Unlike Obama, who wants us to believe that he attended his church for decades, yet was unaware of his preacher's beliefs. I gues he slept through the sermons, which once again leads me to believe he only attended for political gain.
