Can someone define what kind of SHTF are we talking about, i.e. money, war, etc.? I have a husband in Iraq right now and I told him if he heard of some shit coming down the pike to get me and my parents on a plane asap out of the states. I can't say what he does, but he is in a position to know if shit is coming. Can you tell us all what is supposed to happen? I need to contact him and let him know to be ready if need be. Agreed. I'm sitting tight until I get a final indication to go. Where I live is a good spot, but in the city. If the neighbors agree to do a few things, we can block the neighborhood so only walking can get in EASY. open a back gate and it's open space for hunting. There's a stream there that can easily be damned up for drinking water. The neighborhood then becomes my "family". We've got a number of fruit trees here and front and back yards easily converted to gardens. A number have pools for cleaning and once filtered or properly treated drinking water. Worst case, I can stay set and likely be fine.

LMAO! I'm one of the most level headed people I know in panic situations. I just react to the particular situation. I've been prep'ing for a while. I've bought about what we can handle. Only prob with the place we have to go is a small freezer. This could take a while to actually "froth" to a boil. We may be able to make a few trips to get stuff where it needs to be. I'd say fresh water and food, or wya to get it if you don't have access at the moment, is a MAJOR priority. Warm clothes and warm stuff for sleeping. Basic survival needs is priority. If those things are taken care of, then medical and other things like tools and the like is next on the list.

Something is up with out a doubt because they don't call every day. They have power of attorny of about 10% of the money but this Lady was semi frantic and I haven't heard her that way before even after 911 and they froze my account.
I will say this we (the whole group) are leaving. That's part of why I'm looking at property in Grenada, that being said some of it is a change of pace.
I think we're ready for a summer place and a winter place and getting back to water is something we've been wanting for a while. |
