I've got 2 vehicles and a 2 hour drive to the closest family in country area. packing everything would take me in current situation about a half day. I think I could feed at least my family for about a year on what I have canned and dry goods. But, making it to your area, I don't think would be possible. West Coast and you're east coast. you have my email, one of a very select few on this site. There may be a way to keep in touch, but that may be the best, for now. I've also got a sick kid, rihgt now... heck. not good.

Ontario isn't really eastern.. that would be the maritimes ie Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI.. Ontario is a pretty huge place.. I guess all we can do is be as aware and safe as we can then, if we can't go anywhere eh?

On a anecdotal note, I have been ordering things from online vendors like crazy over the past few months. I have been noticing that a lot of things placed at the beginning of Sept have been usually delayed. When I called about it, I was told that the items were back ordered and should be in "any day now". Normally I wouldn't think much about it, but it's been happening a lot. I think with the credit drying up, business is not running as smoothly. So even if we still have time to order things, we may not get delivery in time.

I only wish I had more time and $$ to get what I need!! Ah!



i believe the boat is in south america, but i could be wrong and it is somewhere in CONUS, and yeah, we have time, what i got from all this is a huge loss on the dollar coming soon

as i get the money, i buy things, i don't want to be in a position of panic buying while the shelves are going empty. i know every discount aisle in most stores, and browse them constantly, most everything i buy is at 70% off

He also said they expect a collapse bail out or not. The other concern was the elections.

Correct. Beside the financial cost he's been concerned about the quake activity in the area. He has also sailed most of the pacific from Alaska to the south and wanted to spend more time on the Atlantic side.
