THE Queen is to spend £7million on her own private jet — the first of her 50-year reign.

Her Majesty, who currently shares the use of VIP flights with Government ministers and military chiefs, has taken a close personal interest in the new jet’s design.

And the Queen is taking such a close interest in the design that she was overheard asking: “Where will the Corgis sit?”

Her Majesty has asked four luxury aircraft makers to come up with plans for the £7million royal plane — dubbed Monarch Air — and will personally choose the winning design by Christmas.

She has already seen at least one of the models during a private viewing at RAF Northolt last month, when she was heard to ask about her pets.

A source said last night: “For the first time in her 50-year reign, Her Majesty has decided to buy her own plane. It will be exclusively for her use and that of the Royal Family.

Priority

“She has taken a very personal interest in its design and it’s fair to say it will be far from an ordinary aircraft — it will be literally fit for a queen.”

The Queen, 82, decided to splash out on a plane after becoming fed up at having to share the use of VIP jets with Government ministers and military top brass.

They often take priority, forcing her and other royals to hire other planes at the last minute at vast public cost.

Last year, the royal family spent £5.5million on official travel, much of it on charter aircraft. The source added: “From the public’s point of view it’s good news, as it will save taxpayers’ cash.

“It will be used on official public engagements and be far better value for money.”

Great timing Queenie Idol1

Looks like she wants some reliable transport during the next few years of financial troubles. Last thing she wants is to not have full control over being able to step on a jet when she has to get away.

You should get the next President to buy his own plane. It would be a costsaver.

You are aware that the Royals are funded by UK taxpayers? $80 million last year alone. That at a time when Britain's cup of economic woes overfloweth. And so far removed from ordinary aircraft it will be 'literally fit for a queen' and have specially handcrafted compartments for her pets. Excuse me if I don't sense a lot of concern for taxpayers here.

Interesting timing too. If they'd waited any longer, till the predicted economic holocaust, the sheeple would hardly be as accepting as they are now.

This has NWO written all over it:
It will seat up to 13 people and is likely to include reclining seats embroidered with the royal crest.

And whatever happened to all that jazz about reducing your carbon footprint and using holographic technology? Just so much hot air.

7million. They left out the cost for the hightech-gadgets this thing will have. She is the boss of James Bond, afterall.
