Re: I'm spending $1,300 dollars for my cat's treatmentQuote

Cats have their way to seduce us cat owners. My female black cat has been on the vet clinic all the past week, she got a bad and nasty infection and I was really afraid for her life. I have been going to see her every day for hours, almost did not showed up on job because of this.

Just today she was able to drink some milk and I now know she will be back at home soon, but I have suffered like never thought I'd do. I don't want to imagine yet what the whole bill will be, but I'd sell my car for her if I needed to.

This is the first day of the week I feel that I will be able to sleep well as I know that she is getting better.

BTW, Tessa does have an air to HL, but just an air.

Anyway Tessa, I really like your avatars and pics, you are really attractive, and your smile makes one feel warm at the heart, thanks for that!

i have a kitty that was really sick a few months ago...i thought he was a goner. Turned out to just be a urinary tract infection...those things are terrible!!

he's back to himself now though.

my best friend spent 3 g's on his cats kidney stones. I spent over 600 bucks on my dogs broken tooth, cheat grass seed in the ear and the sarcoma in her mouth. some will give you that face when you mention how much it cost but in my opinion its worth it.

Well, Matilda (thats her name) got a respiratory problem, and a nasty Edema that had her breathing with great difficulty, she lost a lot of weight and could not eat, until today.

She is around 9 years old, I always saw her as having a steel health, but now I will have to be much more careful and don't let her go out at nights because even here (I live in a desert environment) the nights get humid and cold because of the sea influence (Cold Humboldt current).

I have also another Kitty, daughter of Matilda, whose name is Cielo, and has been very distressed all week because of the absense of her mother and play pal. She has slept on my belly all these nights, looking to be not alone.

Cats are wonderful, no doubt, and we can't live without them, period.

yes please keep updated on your kitty ^_^

and the AC's idea about taking something of yours with her...when i worked for a vet that's something we ALWAYS advised when someone was going to have to leave a pet a few days

having something that smells like home really helps them adjust

I am a cat lover and they are well worth it.

I have a very strong connection with all animals, I understand completely your actions and think of none of them as odd. I hope your pet has a full recovery and lives a long life with a love filled owner such as yourself. :)

it is amazing the way they touch our lives
 Quoting: Tessa

Cute. And the kitty in the picture is pretty, too. So true that they touch our lives. They are like kids. In fact, I often call my little girl cat "kid." Cats are beautiful and special creatures, each with a unique personality.

Good luck with the treatment of your sick one, OP. Thanks for taking good care of your baby.

Re: I'm spending $1,300 dollars for my cat's treatmentQuote

I paid $2,000 for my cat when she became extremely ill, most of it was for a barium test to check for blockages in her intestine which indicated everything was OK.

She must have ingested something while outside that was not good for her (poison of some sort?) or was just very ill with some kind of flu because she recovered without us knowing what she was going through.

I don't regret paying that much. I could see the pain she was in, no question you want to do something right away to deal with it.
