I'm from down here in Georgia, and I have NEVER heard Cynthia McKinney rail against "Whitey".
I have heard her tear into the Bush administration, the idea behind the invasion of Iraq and the culpability of the administration in the events of September 11, 2001.
She is very good at it and tends to document what she has to say. The bankster from up in NYC actually sent crews to Atlanta to get her out of congress, which they did for one session by talking Republican voters to cross over in a Democratic primary and vote her out.
But guess what, ... she's back!

It was basically a war zone there after Katrina. I have talked to National Guard that said there were reports of gang bangers from as far away as Philidelphia that came to loot the city.

The single report I saw on jail detainees in NO during the hurricane, was first person report from one detainee who said they had been left locked and all jail employees left. The prisoners had to stack furniture and climb on top to keep from drowning.
On the same report was two guys from somewhere in the Midwest who had been picked up for drunk the night before. They were furious for having been locked and left to die during the hurricane.

She states that the bodies were then dumped in a swamp. Several local witnesses have reported that there was a heavy stench of death that hung around the swamps for weeks and a massive infestation of flies were observed in the area.
I know this sounds incredible, so what do you make of it?

I'm the A/C on the post copied below. The statement from the jail detainee who claimed to have stacked furniture to keep from drowning when left locked in jail, was included in and a part of a news report which had interviewed jail employees who admitted leaving the prisoners locked in jail during the flood. The jail employees said they had called for help to move the prisoners but no one came and they had no choice but to walk out.
Two other guys who had been locked in that jail had been picked up the night before and had seen a magistrate. They had been in New Orleans on a visit and had been out drinking. These guys were from Iowa or Nebraska, some place like that, and were absolutely furious about being picked up and locked up, but most of all were furious that they were left locked in a flooding jail.
Call it BS if you like, but think about how easy it might be for you to be put in a similar position. If jailers had homes and families they were worried about, could not get help to come, poor judgment maybe, but they left them locked up instead of freeing the prisoners from the locked jail.

can you tell me why the crime rate is still so high in New Orleans, why when hurricane Gustuv hit and the good folks from New Orleans were evacuated to Tennessee that their crime quadrupled during the stay of these evacuees,
