Some intel types are beginning to express concerns that the Israelis might do something completely crazy to get the U.S. involved. There are a number of possible “false flag” scenarios in which the Israelis could stage an incident that they will make to look Iranian, either by employing Iranian weapons or by leaving a communications footprint that points to Teheran’s involvement. Those who argue Israel would never do such a thing should think again. Israel is willing to behave with complete ruthlessness towards the U.S. if they feel that the stakes are high enough. Witness the attack on the USS Liberty and the bombing of the U.S. Consulate in Alexandria in the 1950s. If they now believe that Iran is a threat that must be eliminated it is not implausible to assume they will stop at nothing to get the United States to do it for them, particularly as their air force is only able to damage the Iranian nuclear program, not destroy it.

Your logic is invalid. First, you argue from silence. I was interested in pointing out the Israeli connection to the state of things. Of course the US and the UK are both complicit, however, it is also clear, they didn't attack the USS Liberty, the Israelis did, and something needs to be used to explain why nothing is done (the US constantly bows to the desire of Israel, why is it?)
And who said all Jews are guilty? Or all Muslims are innocent? On the other hand, it is like the genocide against the Native Americans in the US. The US attacks, the Indians react, and the reaction is used to prove the genocide is fine. Nor were the brutal responses against it justified. But one can see who has the control of the situation and who has ultimate blame. |

You've got to deal with the threat as it presents itself. If your house was being burgled, you would probably shoot the offender who was perpetrating the crime at that moment, would you not?.......and wonder about who, maybe sent him, later on. |

That is the future for America.

Israel is not our ally. The only people Israel cares about are a select group of Jews within the state; everyone else is cannon fodder. Look to how the Zionists said the death of the Jews at the Holocaust was necessary to get their goals established. The cruel truth is that Israel (not Jews, mind you, but Zionists) is the real threat to world existence; they don't give a damn who they destroy.
Islam is many, many, many, many tradition. Most are peaceful. I've studied Islam under an Ayatollah. I've read through many other traditions. I know the good and the bad. The desperate flights of destruction you find coming from Muslim lands is not tied to Islam except by an accident, just like American genocide of the Indians -- people used Christianity to justify it, but really, it was a political and social reality using an exterior justification. |

I am from Australia and I didn't know that Obama is Muslim.
I don't think he will have to be covert in his attempt to have an Islamic influence on the people if it is the case. The President of the USA has great power. However, the power has only ever been used to keep things ticking rather than make real decisions.
Real decisions are made by you and I. The people living in the democracy. We decide who makes the rules and we decide the fairness of trade. This is our role.
Regardless of the outcome of any democratic process. The will of the people will always triumph.
I lived in Linzi, shandong province in china, for about a year and discovered a population that was about 80% atheist, 10% christian and 10% muslim. This community is thousands of years old and peaceful. The Muslim restaurant is revered as a house of beef. The Christians approach you in the street and offer company for prayer and discussion.
"This is just like home," was my impression.
The local government in china are democratically appointed and nominated based on skills and experience.
The Chinese are strong supporters of Iran through trade.
Israel is one of many fundamentalist nations getting itself all twisted into knots now that it has wiped out all it's oppressors. It will make the transition from protection mode to leadership mode soon. I don't mean control, more leading in technology sharing and world growth. Israel is light years ahead in dryland agriculture and the timing couldn't have been better.

Yes, for some people, it is better to read hystical lies against some other culture and tradition, to try to spread fear and hate, instead of learning what that culture and tradition itself actually says from within. It's far more difficult to make a war upon another based upon lies if you encourage people to learn about the other; it is easier to spread misinformation if you tell people not to read what the others have to say. And then if someone does, the best way to discredit them is to say "See, they are traitors" without actually doing anything to show you know what the hell you are talking about.
