They didnt live that long. In the rare case where the skeleton was of an older person, the teeth were ground down but no cavities because they didnt eat sugar, bread, bakery goodies and candy.

There's anti biotics we use now also and the ETs had access to anti biotics even thousands of years ago when we didn't. It doesn't mean they were going to waste what we know as modern medicine as we know it today on the people that were walking around thousands of years ago. They may get involved with some things but there tends to be a lot of shruging going around and them not getting personally involved also. The truth is. Some humans are chosen to have involvement with the Ets and some are not chosen. and as far as skeletons. Doesn't it make sense that if there were chosen people that not only would they get special treatment but thier chosen little dead bodies would also be exumed already by the ETs to cover thier tracks? There is trace evidence by the millions of every civilization that has ever lived on this planet, with the exception of the ones that were more advanced than we are today.

If these hypothetical alien visitors were sophisticated enough to hop around the galaxy, why the hell would they still be filling teeth with metal?

I mean hell, there are people on youtube talking about how to heal the teeth themselves with simple diet changes. Much of which has to do with eliminating a lot of modern western processed and refined crap that nobody had back then.

Also -- if an advanced civilization really did die out, all traces would be pretty much gone a lot quicker than you might think. Google the video "Life After People" and it actually gives a timeline with CGI visuals. If our own society were to disappear today, 10,000 years later all that would remain is bits of plastic and *maybe* a still halfway recognizable Mt. Rushmore.

As far as ancient civs are concerned, you can pretty much take your pick of megalithic stone monuments, and I don't think it's necessarily safe to assume that any civ more advanced than ours would have to invent plastic.
