Just get a good AR-15. they're good up to 300 yds. Ammo is cheap and available and if the SHTF, it fires .223 and 5.56 U.S. military ammo. you'll have to buy and pack all the other type ammo with you where ever you go. And if the SHTF you won't be able to buy ammo anyway so you may just need to get some 5.56 off a GI.
