How long? a day or two?
The current conventional wisdom for bodybuilder training is :
1. Do fewer exercises. Forget most isolation exercises; do mostly "compound" exercises like squats, dead lift, bench press.

I have read reports that male testosterone levels are plummeting in the industrialized world. All those estrogen mimicking chemicals are feminizing the males. Maybe that would cause a shrinkage?

The AC is right about the Estrogen mimickers in the food chain, and in the water supply. Males are being chemically castrated day by day. Young males from poor families who eat a lot of processed foods have the worst chance of this effecting them.
But the AC got his facts wrong. There are PLENTY of 10 and even 8 year old girls going into puberty today and pregnancies by age ten or eleven are not unknown. Ask any public school teacher who teaches elementary grades. There are thousands of pregnant 6th and 7th grade girls.
If you have a son - get serious water filtration at home! Not bottled water. It's usually no better in terms of trace estrogens and estrogen like chemicals. But there are high end filters that can get this shit out of your water. (Get your doc to swear it's medically necessary (and it is) and you have a nice tax write off.) Also, check your son's physical development from about age ten onward. If he seems androgynous or flabby and feminine when he is about 10 or 11 years old, get him to an endocrinologist and have levels of HGH and testosterone measured and augmented as required when he's in the first year or two of puberty. Testosterone given to a young male child at age 11/12/13 can impact his overall growth, including his penis and testicular size. You have to be careful to not overdo the "juice" or he can wind up shorter than he would otherwise be. This is why careful monitoring is needed while the kid is on this program.
When I was a child my pediatrician noticed an undescended testicle and they gave me testosterone shots (back in the 60s) to make the testicle descend and develop normally. The result was that I wound up with a stereotypically masculine body, heavy musculature whether I work out or not, and dense bone structure to support it all, too. While younger brothers are about 6'3" tall, my height stopped at just barely 6'. My penis is over 9" erect and sometimes it's really inconvenient to be that well endowed. My testicular size is at the high end of the range for caucasian males. Most men's briefs today is NOT cut for men who are large and consequently, I have to buy underwear from one manufacturer only and even their offerings are getting a little tight lately.
