Some people are very lucky to find that partner that perfectly complements them and makes them grow as people. Some of us will never find that, for whatever reason, but life is still great. I have trouble finding someone I can easily communicate with and always end up in an argument for some reason. So, for me personally, I would love to be able to banter with my SO without having a fight.  excellent criteria for you. I've know people who love a good fight, my brother is one of them. I've heard of couples who fight while alive like mad but tend to fade away quickly if the other dies.... Is there something in some of us that wants that???
