what does LOVE mean?

To me it was something iwould never know. terrible childhood, homeless teen, not so good exsistance...one day out of no-where I met someone special, we have not looked back. two lost souls found each other. I cant put it into words there has been thousands of years of literature trying to describe the undescribable...you will know when it happens for you...

That is a tough question DE.
I have only really been in love one time.
And it was the most difficult time of my entire life.
I must admit tho, i probably felt more alive in those years than i ever have since or before.
Now, I am in a wonderful, stable relationship with a woman who, tho she might not stimulate me in the ways my true love did, makes me feel a sense of contentment i have never known.
The difference is, with the woman i am with, i actually care more about her welfare and happiness than i do my own. Maybe it is because i have had almost 10 years more to mature, so the difference is within myself.
Maybe it is because i dont feel threatened by her as i did my former love.
All i know is that i dont feel the ´fire´ with her that i felt with my earlier love, but i am rewarded every day i am with her in ways i could have never experienced with my old flame.

I will live the rest of my life always wondering how things would be if i could have made things work with the woman of my dreams from my youth, but I will do so as i live a full, rich life with the woman of my wonderful reality.

the best thing to say WOW..but can u believe it it i don´t believe in love!! we love someone because we want somthing from him .. if the person u loved died for example will u keep lovin´ him? i don´t think so becuase u loved the body u loved the beatting heart not the soul

The English language, and the consciousness of those who think/perceive in it, is incredibly impoverished by the absurdity of only having one word for this. There are more flavors of love than every other feeling combined, and all we have is this one stupid word.

Village Idiot, I know exactly what you are talking about. This is from the other side though. Me and him were to young to understand our most deep connection through fire. Now I have a man who is not nearly so firy but is very wonderful and compationate and I am ready to be honest and he also. I still wonder about my first true love from almost ten years ago. God it was amazing. But I wouldn´t leave my husband for the world. Though I may regret it in a place inside of me forever. So we arn´t each others love from long ago but How about this. I will always remember our time together. I will always dream of us. I will see you next go around. SMiles to the soulmate who is more complete in many ways than the twin flame.

As to love. It´s real. And on my journey to find it within and figure it out and feel it, I had this dream. I asked a Very nice Shaman man in my dream, How do I love? He said, You just love. I know its frustrating and saddning. You will find love if you Just keep trying to be honest with yourself and live to your own highest level of survival, morals, ethics, emotions, And honesty. Atleast that´s how I found love within myself. I pray that all find love, true love. And just believe in it.

When someone you love dies you don´t stop loving them. I lost my fiance in 1991 and can still picture his face, hear his voice and even smell him when I think of him. Both my parents are gone too, and I still think of them daily, with as much love as I ever had for them.

Huggs Ninny :) They don´t and can´t ever truley leave us if we are all one. I like to believe they are and I think thats why we keep knowing them even after they pass. Maybe :) But I feel its true.

Not upset, love is funny. If you can´t laugh about love then you´re really hurting.
