Kind of like that bad movie I saw the other night on TV - some horror show about staying in a house all night that suppose to be haunted and if you were able to without dying you would get paid a million dollars. The movie was kind of dumb, but the house was full of crazy psychotic mechanical things and dead skeltons of other people who attempted to stay in the house. Of course there was the ghosts there also, and all of that.
Of couse I did not really wonder why they made a movie like that, I just did not really think that afterall it was not just a movie.
Spin the reel forward now, and still like a night in the house - the panic.
Okay, I am done about this market whatever it is goings on.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average would have had to drop 1,200 points on Monday for stock market “circuit breakers,” designed to calm volatile markets by temporarily suspending trading, to kick in.
That Dow index change necessary to stop trading is adjusted each quarter, so it changed Wednesday to 1,100 points. That standard applies to trading on the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and the American Stock Exchange. The exchanges use a 10 percent loss on the Dow’s last close in the previous quarter, 20 percent and 30 percent as the thresholds for trading suspensions of ascending duration.
At 10 percent, the market closes for an hour if the loss occurs before 1 p.m. Central time, for a half hour if it occurs from 1 to 1:30 p.m. and not at all if it occurs after 1:30 p.m. At 20 percent, the market closes for two hours if the loss occurs before 1 p.m., one hour from 1 to 2 p.m. and closes down for the day after 2 p.m.
At a 30 percent loss, the market closes for the day, regardless of time.
Under earlier rules, in effect since 1988, for a market-wide trading halt, a decline of 350 points in the DJIA would halt trading for 30 minutes and a drop of 550 points, for one hour.
These trigger points were hit only once on Oct. 27, 1997, when the DJIA was down 350 at 1:35 p.m. Central time, and 550 at 3:30, shutting the market for the remainder of the day. |

Capitulation is hit if Dow closes at or below 9850, S@P 1081 and NYSE 7059. All 3 have to close at or below these numbers. |

You mean the $850 Billion soon to be $900+ Billion? It was used to pay off the Chinese for the U.S. debt they hold. It wasn't to help the market in any way or form. Hell China still holds more than $2.3 TRILLION DOLLARS of America's debt.... |
