I watch Cramer from time to time and he rarely tells people to pull out their money like this or rarely is this pessimistic. He usually says, "yes today we're down but in two or so days things will go back up..." or "u need to stay in it for the long run". Now he is basically saying, take ur shit out NOW even if u lose money cause ur going to need it for whats coming. and what coming is going to knock u down and ur going to take it up the u know what for 5 years, so get ready!
This show gets 5 million viewers. This is going to spread fast through word of mouth and by way of internet. This is crazy for him to say something like this on tv

What Cramer SAID was that if you're gonna need that money you've invested in the next 5 years, to take it out of the stock market now. He ALSO said that if you're situated so that you can let it ride for the next 5 years, you can do so.
In simpler terms: if you've invested your child's education savings into the stock market in the hope that it will double in the next year when your kid goes off to college, then take it out of the stock market now, this week. If the money you have invested is money that you won't need to draw on in the next five years, you can leave it and worry about it later.
Having said that, he also said that he expects a 20% drop in the stock market (assumeably over the same 5-year period).
Not said was, anyone who plans to retire and begin drawing on 401Ks or other invested retirement plans in the next 5 years may be hurting. They would be unable to draw early without stiff penalties and cashing out would incur a huge fee.

And yep, something else will need to happen to get the giant money machine turning it's wheels again...you know, like a war on something or other.

Cramer obviously genuinely cares about the average person on the street. I have a new found respect for this man. I believe that he laid everything on the line to give that message to the average person.

Notice how pushes blame onto Europe and defends the bailout? He should know better. Add nervousness, and looks like someone handed him a script he didn't like, or he read the script but his heart got the better of him and he told people to run not walk. If he mysteriously commits suicide in the few days we'll know I guess, though we'll probably be too busy looking for loose change.
