There is a difference between a meteorite and asteroid in reference to size. If the guy who wrote the article on spaceweather is a total dumb ass or not who knows, but he does call it an ASTEROID - not meteorite. A meteorite is "10 meters across or less"

They cant say for definite that it will just burn up, that is just damage control and panic prevention!! They also cant say where it will land for definite untill they get really good data on it when its entering are space only a few thousond miles out, where NORAD can track it!
