Bury whatever valuable metal items you have in a hole six foot deep. Cover it with 3 feet of dirt. Then place some worthless metal items in the hole. Then fill in the rest of the hole with dirt. More than likely, if someone is searching with a metal detector, they won't think to go further or check again once they find the stash that's only 3 feet deep. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 470675It would be hard as hell to get da gold. Good point, Hitler would have to be in power to get my gold. And we all know that would never happen again. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 495603 10/06/2008 09:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | 1. Have personal sales receipts for everything bought with a paper trail. 2. Get spook-like creative for finding or building hidey-holes to put it in. Try to mask it behind other metals too. 3. Convert it into junk silver coins, and fill piggy banks with it, placing them in different spots around the house. Junk silver looks just like regular change. Throw some newer change on top. 4. Stash some in your car and park it down the street. Sometimes cars are overlooked when houses are searched. If you get pulled over & searched later, you "just bought it" and are going to give it to someone as a gift, yadda, yadda, etc. You'll really have to get creative when the confiscations come. |

As long as robbers don't have a medal detector, you should be okay. People have been saying not to leave them in safe deposit boxes because they can be confiscated on "bank holiday" in a financial melt down. |

Buddy, if you are that worried about it, sell it and keep the receipt showing you sold it to a coin shop. Not worth the hassle. |
| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 519221 10/06/2008 09:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hide them in plain site. It would be hard as hell to find 10 gold coins strewn all over the place. Just remember where you put them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 470675Lets say you bought ten pounds instead of ten coins. And 5 brokers have your name and address. Not to mention the fedex people who delivered it all. It is impossible to hide. |

Use the money to buy an MP7 so you can spray the bastards with armour-piercing through the door whilst they're still on the driveway, because if it gets to that point, they are probably only going to kill you anyway gold or not. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 519205wrapped up really damn well, and down into your septic tank. Rope attached. Very creative! Thye middle age solution was to tie a loop on a rope on the stuff and throw it in the outhouse. Rope and all. You grapple it out later. No rope leading to the top etc. Today they don't stop by and search, they know you got it and kill you if you don't dive in and get it out. |

Selling rights to hunt for it for $5 a piece or something. Its canadian maple leafs 1 oz gold coins. Or maybe Alex Jones would be interested in running the hunt. I don't want this gold anymore. My wife and kids and worth a lot more than this yellow metal. |
