even diahydracodine won't hardly help. Morphine perhaps?

Renal colic is the worst pain there is.

see a doc and ask if they can do lithotrypsy on the stones.

Otherwise just keep screaming until you piss them out.

Then try a low sodium diet.

watermelon and more watermelon, it flushes the system. many in my family get those dreaded things from time to time, and we always make a dash to the grocery to grab a melon.. just sharing...

This is my second attack in less than a year!

well, do not forget one of natures best pain medicines, opiates. True, there is a dependency/addiction issue however, kidney stones aren't a long term pain. Effective pain relief can be achieved during the stones life w/o any dependent side effects. Unless there has been prior abuse.

If codeine bothers your tummy, try tramadol, hydrocodone or oxycodone. Sometimes one will upset the tummy where the other will not.

You must get a CT scan and see a doc asap.

If the stone(s) are big then they could be causing you alot of internal damage and can cause life threatening infections.

They may need to be surgically removed.

you can crush the Tylenol 3's, mix it with oatmeal and shoot the stuff up your butt. No kidding, it will work that way. I never done it but I know there are opiate pain meds that are given that way.

It will stop the tummy upsets, lol. If you are brave enough to do so.

You can get an ultrasound type of treatment which breaks the larger stones into much smaller stones that are not painful but just uncomfortable. I believe it is not invasive but sort of like an ultrasound a pregnant woman gets but much more powerful waves.

Morphine sulphate delivered via time release capsules or with IM "bolus" doses for breakthru pain.

Either or both depending how easily pain control is achieved.

In Japan we have pills called urocalun which effectively eject the stone from the urethrer.

Since they are derived from a herb, there are no strong side effects.

I had a stone a couple of weeks back and passed it after taking the pills for two days, hurt like a sonofabitch but once it was gone, ahhhh the relief.

Ok now this sounds weird.... and its from memory, and not making this up.

You need to do a little "googling" for this... BUt france was quite a few years ago giving patients mashed potatoes to help in disolving kidney stones and as i recall were getting good results... also potatoe juice was used.... Be carefull here and do more research... potatoes ar part of the "deadlynightshade" family .
