Nasrallah's Much-Promised Mughniyeh Retaliation is Coming
Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's much-promised retaliation for the assassination of top commander Imad Mughniyeh is reportedly coming.
The daily Al-Akhbar, which is close to Hizbullah, said on Wednesday that Nasrallah, at a meeting not long ago known as "semi-internal," vowed retaliation for Mughniyeh.
"No backing off from the decision to avenge the assassination of Hajj Mughniyeh," Nasrallah was quoted as saying during the meeting.
"And no backing off from carrying out the 'big surprise' against the enemy," Nasrallah warned.
Nasrallah had promised Israel a "big surprise" if it attacked Lebanon.
Mughniyeh was killed in a car bomb attack in Damascus last February. His assassination was blamed on Israel.

I hope they do, or the citizens are informed enough to do so on their own, even if it's on foot. As for the promised attack, it better be impressive, Israel's promised to flatten any and all towns the rockets come from.
And of course, this probably means another round of new "security" measures for the rest of the world. I'm guessing it's not too long before we get to the implanted chips that zap us like a pet's Invisible Fence if we stray too far out of our home town without permission. They can use the cell towers for ranging. |

I think we are being tested. Survival of the fittest means proving yourself worthy, not just praying to some imaginary man in the sky to save you. God doesn't live 'up there' and even if he did, he'd probably want us to get off our bewildered asses and FIX the problems we have instead of allowing a few greedy old men dictate the future course of human evolution.

Fear in Lebanon as Syrian forces mass on border
NICOSIA — The Syrian Army has expanded its presence along the border with Lebanon.
Lebanese sources said the Syrian Army has deployed more than 10,000 soldiers along several points of the Lebanese border. The sources said Syrian troop concentrations were seen in northern and eastern Lebanon, including the Bekaa Valley.
"More troops are flowing and more heavy weapons are accompanying them," a Lebanese security source said. "It's clearly a source of concern."
The government of Prime Minister Fuad Siniora has played down the Syrian military buildup. Lebanese government spokesmen said Damascus has assured Beirut that the Syrian troop presence was meant merely to bolster border security.
But Lebanese government sources said they were concerned that Syrian troops could invade northern Lebanon imminently. The sources said the regime of President Bashar Assad has discussed such a military operation with both France and the United States.
"If they invade our territory, this will have immediate repercussions on our internal situation," a Lebanese source said. "It could turn us into an Iraq." The sources said the Syrian Army, which began the buildup on Sept. 21, has deployed scores of T-72 main battle tanks and artillery along the Lebanese border in the area of the Bekaa Valley. They said at this point the Syrian Army has not crossed the border.
The Syrian Army has indicated its intention to remain along the border for several months, the sources said. They said the army has constructed barracks and other installations.
