If you look at this chart, you can move along the daily line to exactly 3:08PM.

I do not see anything particularly amazing about that time, nor the action that was going on. It seems to me the Dow was already headed down in the usual late-day selloff we've seen before. |

Lehman swap auction timeline
NEW YORK, Oct 8 (Reuters) - The value of credit default swaps backed by defaulted Lehman Brothers bonds will be set on Friday, with protection sellers expected to face massive losses of around 90 percent of the insurance they sold.
Bondholders have seen their investments virtually wiped out by Lehman's bankruptcy filing on September 15, with most of the defaulted bonds which will be used to settle the swaps trading in the area of 12-to-13 cents on the dollar, according to MarketAxess.
The auction to settle credit default swaps on this debt will likely be the second-largest settlement of the contracts in the $55 trillion market, following an auction to settle swaps on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mae on Monday.
Twenty-two dealers will participate in the auctions, which will determine how much protection sellers will recover after paying out the insurance. The timeline for the auctions follows, according to JPMorgan.
9:45 a.m.-10 a.m. Auction participants will submit bids and offers for the debt backing the credit default swaps, which will be used to determine the initial recovery rate of the swaps.
10:30 a.m. Auction administrators Creditex and Markit will publish the initial recovery price and the open interest for the contracts will be published. The open interest reflects the amount of bids and offers that have been made, and will show if there are more buyers than sellers, or vice versa.
12:45 p.m. -1 p.m. Participating dealers will submit limit orders for the debt on behalf of themselves and their clients to fill the open interest

Comrades,
There were other good predictions in 2002/2003 but they tend to fall by the wayside with the constant spew of some of our comrades who prefer to tell lies for false profit or glory. EAT has been an excellent mirror in pointing out the idiocracy of our forum via humor.
I should mention that I believe that DIET is a different person than EAT. DIET clearly has access to the system (or knows someone who does). He/she is merely playing off of EATs name as I was with DRINK. I could be wrong. Anyway, have a merry flush!
May I suggest that it is ok if they want to wine and dine on your tax dollars, might as well give them a last supper. They have been buying hookers and blow on your tax dollars for years upon years.

There are some excellent posts here about the Lehman swap auction tomorrow. Today is a reflection of what insiders are seeing for Friday. I have to get back to work but will stop by tomorrow and post when I put the puzzle together. The timing of the auction tomorrow will be a big factor in the timing tomorrows market.

I can't jeapordize my source by divulging too much. There are some factors at play that involve illegal stock manipulation and there is a pattern to it.
It looks now like we are getting another injection from what every body here refers to as the PPT.
