Here's how martial law in the US could happen this month

Obama will win the election, for sure.

If he's alive, that is.

So here's how martial law could happen:

Obama is assassinated.
A JFK thing or MLK thing.

Bush, stating the "unique conditions caused by financial unrest" declares martial law "in the interests of the US".

This will be because an assassination of a potential president would be so unsettling that, given the instability already, only martial law can help restore a "normal society".

And of course under martial law an election isn't possible.

But also, if the assassination was spun into an attack on Iran like 911 was spun into an attack on Iraq, well then this will deliver what America's rulers want.
