This guy is such a mystery. Why do I get the impression that this is a scam and this - and other pictures - are actually taken of carefully lit objects underwater?

I totally agree with the underwater thing. To me it looks like a super magnified krill or something, some plankton type organism blown up to look big.

IMPORTANT: As December 30, 2007 at 9:00 PM I'm posting these

Ok, hold the Ctrl button and double click the left mouse button which will take you to the youtube page where the video is. Just under the video to the right hand side you'll find a blue button which say "watch in high quality". It's not the best difference but it is better. The original file uploaded was 150mb and i think youtube converted it down to around 15mb.
