True Philly reaction... though they would never have thrown hats... hats are thrown when a hat trick is made (3 goals by the same player in one game)... so the hats are thrown as a positive vote of approval. Thus hats would never have been thrown in disgust.
The only reason why they didn't throw drinks or food was probably b/c they wanted the game to begin and didn't want the zamboni to come out and clean the ice. ;-)
