OP, you still haven't told us what your husband said when you expressed your outrage over the kids with him. Unless you tell us his take on the situation, you are just telling one side of the issue.


I have talked with my Husband about this several times. He tries very hard to make them pick up after themselves. But like I said earlier THEY HAVE TO BE TOLD EVERY FLIPPING TIME THEY EAT ANYTHINGmeals, snacks, drinks...etc to put the dishes in the dishwasher. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! Seriously! I just can't believe that after all this time they cannot get up and do it on thier own.

I don't bitch and complain all the time. Some weekends I don't let it bother me, but this weekend was particularly brutal, mainly because of the youngest one who didn't do a report and my husband spent a good deal of his time trying to help him with the assignment only to hear the young one whine, complain, try to sneak on his computer game, lay down and throw fits, scream, cry and so on and so on. When he would get sent to his room (by hubby) to be quiet he would come down 2 minutes later whinning about something or other.

My Husband tries to keep us all happy. I know it is hard for him because basically at Mom's house there really are no rules, they live like wild animals and at our house I will not permit it. He does try to stand by me. We are all learning as we go.

But COME ON! Are they really that stupid they have to be told every time they use a dish to take it to the dishwasher?

When they come inside they throw their shoes off where ever they want and will drop their back packs off in a middle of a room and just leave them there. One time I left a pair of the youngest sneakers smack dab in the middle of a busy walk way in the family room to see how long they would stay there. I gave up after 3 days and moved them.

I don't always hate them, but this weekend it sure felt like I did. I even went up to my room and just stayed there for hours to get some peace from youngest. I've never done that before. It didn't help much because I could still here him lying, whinning and complaining about wanting to play on the computer.
