Contrails have changed dramatically over the past several years IMO. I don't think many people would dispute that they seem to be more persistent. I think the answer to this is simple though. Clouds are formed and persist when there is an abundance of condensation nuclei hanging around in the atmosphere. What would cause more condensation nuclei in our atmosphere? Maybe an increase in the flux of cosmic rays hitting the Earth which induces an ionization cascade leading to the production of cloud condensation nuclei? This would seem to be a plausible explanation in light of the recent report that the heliosphere has contracted by some 20% in the last twenty years. |

I shit you not, an IT manager told me a few years back, there was going to be a whole lot more analysis and intervention in matters of employee internet usage as soon as somebody was hired to do that job full time. Many employees like myself had legitimate uses for the internet so it was not a simple matter of blocking access.
Good luck with your Navy career but be advised that if at some point you need a more advanced security clearance, GLP will come back to haunt you.
Of course, if what Duncan and G. House are now intimating is true about the reptilians, if you see two doofus looking toads coming your way with salt and pepper shakers, RUN! Duncan and G. are going to have you for lunch, literally. |

Thanks for your concern and advice, but I don't think I'm in any danger career-wise. I have accessed GLP from Navy computers, but only on my own free time. This is considered legitimate use, as long as I don't go to porn sites or hate sites or do anything illegal.

I agree that the most likely cause is a change in the composition of the atmosphere. Most likely an increase in water vapor in the upper troposphere.
