I know I shouldn't laugh but that is so funny. Now that I said that,
I agree with those above that Nancy Regan is a very classy lady and I watched Pres. Regan's funeral ceremonies and for her age and how long she had been looking after him, she was nothing but grace and dignity. God bless her and grant her a speedy recovery hf hf hf

If she can't say No to Painkillers, the doctors should refuse to administer painkillers, as a moral principle.

You guys can wish Cheney dead all you want but will you please have the decency not to beat up on a nearly 90 year-old woman?

OK?

Sound like the "Evil Empire" is having some health issues. Guess all that oil money that they robbed us of won't keep them alive forever after all. Nancy and Ronnie were the beginning of this mess. Enlarge the gap was their original intent, and it came to fruition.

yeah i guess she is worthy of sympathy

although the first thing that comes to mind about nancy is how she is partially responsible for the failed "war on drugs" which has incarcerated so many people over the last 30 years who are not criminals......

Because they have been programmed to feel sad when their "dear" leaders die.
I remember her husband policies against my country. and all over south-America. Most of those policies are still working hard. You better wake up.
They allowed a lot of crimes to be committed. i forgive them but I won't cry for them.

Re: Nancy Reagan in the hospitalQuote

Having been a "hollywood insider" during the Reagan years in the white house... I know a little bit of dirt that the press has not played up and while it may be known to some of you to others it may be a surprise.

Nancy and Ronald Reagan met the first Mrs. McCain when he was overseas (before he was captured - just on active duty, I think.) She was then working, supporting her one or two children and living on what ever allowance he was sending home ... not poverty but hardly the lap of luxury either.

Nancy and later Ron befriended her (her name was Carolyn I think) and they became fast friends. The the first Mrs. McCain had an auto accident. A serious one that fractured both her legs, her pelvis was crushed and she had to undergo some pretty disfiguring surgery to save her life. She had been a professional swim suit model and was by all accounts a real beauty in her youth. The accident happened. She was hospitalized and bounced from one hospital to another. The Champ-us (civilian military hospital networks) wouldn't pay the bills or couldn't pay for what she needed. Nancy Reagan called Ross Perot and talked the multi-billionaire into paying Carol's substantial medical expenses. After all, by this time her husband was a bionafied war hero and a resident of the infamous Hanoi Hilton in Vi-et Nam.

Carol slowly recovered. It took years of rehab and she barely could walk again. She waited and finally McCain was released from the prison where he'd been kept and apparently tortured for five years. He came home to a hero's welcome. Nancy and Ron Reagan had moved her to California and had even given her a job working for one of them as a personal assistant (Nancy, I think.) McCain's home coming was written up in the magazines, covered big-time in the press, and he was a big deal hero. And his crippled wife waited dutifully for his return.

He (John McCain) was back stateside for about a month and he started taking trips to visit "old friends" and during one of these junkets met the present Mrs. McCain while in Hawaii. he was there without his crippled wife, of course.

He started pursuing Cindy and she didn't say "no" by any account. They had a rather torrid affair and her father was a very big wig in Arizona Politics. He practically ran the republican party in Arizona. McCain of course dumped Carol like a hot potato ... he had a beauty with a very rich father, a huge trust fund, a going business (the Arizona and New Mexico and Nevada distributorship for Anheiser-Busch (Budwiser beer), etc. She was filthy rich and would be even more so when her father passed on. McCain and Cindy made plans to marry. However he bought a wedding license BEFORE he was ever finally divorced from Carol. He didn't marry Cindy. but everything else. Finally his divorce became final and he married Cindy almost immediately. We (my folks) were friends of Cindy's father's and we were among the few local people to be invited to the wedding.

The story goes that Nancy Reagan kept waiting for John McCain to come to his senses and go back to his wife - who still by all accounts adored him. But he didn't. He picked the money and the glitz that Cindy could bring to the party. Nancy Reagan never spoke to John McCain again. When Ron had to see him on political matters, those meetings never again took place in their private quarters either in the White House or at their home in Bel Air. Nancy felt he was a cad and a cheat and refused to ever speak to him or entertain him again. She stuck to her guns all these years. He wasn't invited to attend Ron's funeral either. How ironic that Nancy should have suffered this fall herself.

What's odd is that Carol McCain is still living somewhere in Florida and still loves her ex husband in spite of his leaving her for Cindy thirty years ago. BTW: Carol is McCain's age or nearly so. Cindy is 25 years younger than either of them although in her 50's herself now.

Nancy Reagan did come out and "endorse" McCain "for the good of the party" but refused to be photographed with him, or make even one speech for him. Mrs. Reagan has never been shy about voicing her opinion of McCain's character and to this day hates the man for what he did to Carol. Nancy Reagan saw the "REAL" John MCCain yeas ago. And she knows he's a piece of crap too. To the point where she will not allow him in her home some 30 or 35 years after this incident happened. What more does Nancy Reagan know about McCain that being a good former first lady she cannot express in public?

Told you truth here often sounds like pure fiction. But every word of this is true. Every word!
