Why does McCain always have to portray or be an Asshole during the debates. I have never seen such disrespect from any candidate as from what i have seen from McCain. The Constant look of I'm better than you, the condensending grunts from his voice and the constant interuptions. Why do we or anybody else put up with this behaivure.
Do you think he will give other world leaders the same disrespect that he gives to his political opponents? What about the personal insults to the leader of Iran from Palin on a televised debate. Can we afford leaders who will insult other world leaders on a personal basis. Not only to other world leaders in general, but countries that we have serious issues with.
This is one of my real problems with McCain/Palin. But don't get me started with the problems with Palin just by herself. With the position of Vice President holding unAccountable Power Can we afford a WitchHunter?

Now I'm starting to think there is some kind of conspiracy behind these poll numbers. How accurate are these poll numbers comming out. On cnn, they even said 40 percent democrat and almost 80 independant. I wonder again how accurate these things are.

Obama took some serious damage tonight. It is interesting as you can tell when Obama gets rattled. He starts to studder and stammer his statements. He did a lot of that tonight.
It is about time the whole Ayers thing got out front and center. However, McCain should have articulated that better as he talked about how Ayers was unrepentant that he bombed buildings, but neglected to mention the number of people he killed in those attacks. What do you mean? Obama's answers were more intelligent, seemed more informed, and were certainly more coherent on every single question than McCain's. McCain came off like he doesn't have any big ideas about anything, like his is small minded in his thinking and will just maintain the status quo handed down from Bush while making minor changes.
I can't think of a single exchange that McCain got the better part of. McCain was quibbling and nitpicking about stuff that didn't seem very signifigant, while Obama was presenting big[ger] ideas and basically acting presidential. Obama summed it all up perfectly when he pointed out McCain's education plan was limited to expanding school vouchers in Washington from 1000 recipients to 4000 recipients, and McCain's only retort was "I see, don't do more vouchers because there aren't enough vouchers, even though the vouchers are working", which missed the whole point Obama was making about the lack of vision for the country inherent in McCain's ideas. McCain has no vision for anything, he is just basically content with the status quo and will fiddle with it a little bit the way a veteran senator of 20+ years would want to do.
I don't see any possible way McCain could have been seen to have won this debate. He lost the debate, and it wasn't close. Obama got the better end of every single exchange, and had a more convincing answer for every single question.
That said, I don't think the debate was terribly interesting, the questions were the same old sterilized bullshit, and the answers were nothing remarkable at all. Basically, this debate as usual had no soul, and that is just the way the Demopublicans like it.
