GLP Presidential Debate Poll - Who won Obama or McCain

POLL: Who won tonights presidential debate
 Barack Obama
 John McCain

Who won the debate. I think McCain won the first 30 min and had me worried, as an Obama supporter. But then McCain started going too negative and that turned the tone of the debate into Obama's favor. Then when they got into other core issues of domestic policy such as health care, energy, jobs, and education Obama was far better. What do you think?

McCain did better than the past three debates. But someone has to clue him in that rolling the eyes does more harm than good to his cause.

The race is over! Obama will win the election by a modern day landslide!

Obama: 325+ Electoral College Votes and 53-55% of the popular vote.

Game over McCain!

Mc won the first 30 min? What?

The way I saw it, he lost at every turn. He did all he could to not have a stroke right there and then.

McCain has sabataged his campaign with that 'negative'. It's like long finger nails going down glass, drives me nuts, and away. I can't deal with him. I just wish we could get Ron Paul into office!

I'd say not much changes after the debate. No clear winner = leader in polls wins = Obama wins

This time McCain won. As for rolling eyes of McCain, when Obama was ask question he half answered his eye shifted side to side like a weasel.

During the first 30 min. they talked a lot about tax policy. And McCain had said the line about not being Bush, and you should have run 4 years ago to run against him. I don't think he convinced many people that he is not Bush throughout the debate though.

I think McCain connected more with the Joe the Plumber story. Although Obama did state it, I don't think he did enough to make it clear that Joe the Plumber and people like him wouldn't be effected by tax increases. I think a truley small business generally does not make more than $250,000. Those who make slightly more than that can easily find some deductions and loop holes to pull their income under $250,000. And nobody or business that makes less than $250,000 a year will see a tax increase. Those that earn a lot more than that are not small businesses. The tax increase will only be 2%, which will only roll back Bushes tax ceiling to where it was under Clinton's fiscally responsible administration. I don't think a tax increase of 2% will have a great effect on most businesses.

I think McSenile started strong but lost steam as the debate went on. His facial expressions and butting in while Obama spoke didn't help. It's over for Grandpa....

I am neither a Repuke or Dumorat.

I see a LOT of hidden agnger in John Mc Cains face. He tries to hide his temper, but I know if the oppertunity arose he would snap in a second.

Obama is not to be trusted either . . .we are a sinking ship folks . . .it's all part of the plan.

Re: GLP Presidential Debate Poll - Who won Obama or McCainQuote

clearly obama won the first two night and clearly mccain won tonight. Especially the first 30 minutes. If McCain had kept away from the negativity it's a grandslam. (Not trying to advertise for Denny's here). Even all the Cnn guys and the liberal ones though mccain won. Yet, when the poll numbers came out, Obama won by the biggest margin. It makes me wonder if there is a conspiracy going on with these poll numbers. Like it was preset, thinking McCain and Obama would act as they have in the other two debates. Now I have to wonder what happens on election night. If you're only going to win one, you want it to be the last one. That's what people remember. It will be interesting on election night to see how accurate these poll numbers are. All McCain has to do is keep it close and we know what can happen on election night.

I was thinking the same way. McCain started out strong and had me worried, but as Obama just kept his cool McCain seemed to run out of steam.

McCain just doesn't come across very well in these things. Obama seems made for TV.
