I hate McCain's constant smirk.

Very unflattering.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 493056

I will never forget the way McCain smirked at Ron Paul; and it seemed they always had them standing beside Ron so he could do this smirking. Can't you see him if he wins smirking at the people from other countries. He will disgrace us.

How would McCain's measily $5000.00 tax credit help the people who are having it hard getting healthinsurance in the first place help them?

Obama won

Re: GLP Presidential Debate Poll - Who won Obama or McCainQuote

McCain was angry throughout the depate and on constant attack. Before the debate I stated that McCain would have to do two things to win this debate; 1. Prove that Obama is a terrorist, 2. Present a clear, concise, and apparently effective plan to recover the economy. McCain failed on both accounts.
The Republic commentators felt McCain one because he was constantly on the attach and Obama was constantly on the defence, but that is exactly what has caused McCain to fail all along, and his handlers have explained this to him. I was voting for McCain until he brought Palin on the ticket and started digging for dirt and grasping for straws against Obama.

All things being equal, most people vote for the person who looks like themselves. Blacks overwhelmingly supported Obama over Hillary, even though their policies were nearly identical. The same will probably hold true in the general election.

How would McCain's measily $5000.00 tax credit help the people who are having it hard getting healthinsurance in the first place help them?
 Quoting: Redbird 526278

And what good would it do for the family that is struggling to pay their bills that is paying an average of $12,000 for a family of four for health insurance?

A tax credit when he files his income taxes next year doesn't mean much to somebody who's trying to figure out where the $1,000 to make the insurance payment this month is going to come from on top of rising food, utility and fuel costs. And the fact that his house payments shot up because his ARM just kicked in.

But, that seems to be the Republican answer to everything. A tax credit.

Re: GLP Presidential Debate Poll - Who won Obama or McCainQuote

I think McCain connected more with the Joe the Plumber story. Although Obama did state it, I don't think he did enough to make it clear that Joe the Plumber and people like him wouldn't be effected by tax increases. I think a truley small business generally does not make more than $250,000. Those who make slightly more than that can easily find some deductions and loop holes to pull their income under $250,000. And nobody or business that makes less than $250,000 a year will see a tax increase. Those that earn a lot more than that are not small businesses. The tax increase will only be 2%, which will only roll back Bushes tax ceiling to where it was under Clinton's fiscally responsible administration. I don't think a tax increase of 2% will have a great effect on most businesses.

Nobody seems to stop to think about the fact that you pay taxes on net income, not gross income. If a small business's net income is over $250,000, then it is doing pretty well. And, they would only be paying higher tax rates on the income over $250,000, not the entire profits.

Payrolls and benefits like health insurance for employees are tax deductions. So is equipment. Higher taxes are incentive to reinvest income into the business since it is deductible.

The argument that a small businessman won't hire as many employees because of higher tax rates is bullshit. He isn't taxed on money that he pays employees.

Good response.. thanks for breaking it down.

Re: GLP Presidential Debate Poll - Who won Obama or McCainQuote

I think this whole thing is scripted....even the debates.

Even though to many people Obama is the only one that will help America out,

I think the real powers behind the scenes want McCain because McCain will bring fascism quicker and protect the wealth of the filthy rich.

The key to the election is who Rome wants....find that out and you will find the real agenda.

It could be that either of them will obtain Rome's goals but one of Rome's goals seems to be to get many Americans to the point of revolution so they can beat them down.

What better way than to so obviously give McCain the presidency to piss off enough Americans.

Only a false flag operation or an assassination or a diebold vote switch will allow for a McCain "win".

Vote none of the above or we will get more of the same. Throw all the bums out of office and start from scratch. This is supposedly our country, but our government will not listen to us. We the people should get to vote on any tax increases, laws and regulatioins that directly affect us. Basic health care and a basic education education (up to a 2 year college degree)should be provided to every American citizen that wants it. Based on the money we have paid into social security that we will never get to see a penny of in return. We need another American revolution!

The Drudge poll is way off from the other polls favoring McCain.

McCain's eyes freak me out. They look deep and empty and black, like a shark's eyes. They remind me of the quote from the movie Jaws: "And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'."

Bet you all Obama wins. He will be the scapegoat for the current financial state, plus he is black, so he will make the perfect scapegoat.

As most of you americans are a tad racist, no offence intended to the good people on this forum, as i am sure you are all more open the thought of a black president, but most appear not to.

So in a years time, when he wins, he will struggle put right what the white elite have inflicted. He will of course fail, then he will get the blame.

Doesnt look like it would put a second black president in good stead. Guess after he is in and out, someone like hillary clinton will win.

Watched a prog on tv where black women were asked who they would vote for, and most said hillary over barrack. Man, you have gotta love the way the american culture overrides all other cultures of peoples that move over there. Its like in one generation, all traces of the previous generations culture get wiped out.

You should all run away, we should all go to the Indonesian Jungle and live there.

This is NOT a poll, per say, as YOU INFLUENCE those polled BEFORE they take the poll.

WHY ? FEAR that your malloto, Muslim lover, faggot might not win, when you KNOW the media polls ARE skewed in his favor ?

BUT OF COURSE !

Dude, whats up with Muslims. Least you used a big cap for the name. Still sounds like you got too much hate.

It was YOUR country (and mine, it was probably my country that made your country take the stance it has, but thats another issue), it was YOUR country that made Islam out to be such a fanatical religion, making it out as the number one for terrorists. All that is totally untrue. You get fanatics from all religions, it does not mean that they are terrorists. Think before you speak, however, its probably not your fault, so i shall blame eMpTy TV.

I think most of us are adults here and can make up their own minds. So how do you suppose I influenced 50% of the respondents to support Obama. Could it be that its actually similar to how he polls in all the nationwide polls now.
