Anonymous Coward User ID: 489021 United States 10/17/2008 12:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How would the non-Christain feel if one were to present the Gospel in a way you may not have heard it, and then leave it at that? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 520854No forcing, no anger, no hypocrisy. It is fine to present it that way, but it often does not happen that way. I also find that religions like Christianity and Islam seem to have monthly quotas. They are all desperate to increase their numbers/membership. I would also say that the introduction of Christianity has seriously hurt many cultures, particularly in Africa. In general, I do not like missionaries. Christianity is not a religion...It's a belief! |

For me ..it's not so much the people <<unless of course they are hypocrites and do not reap what they sew ......>> It's the organization of religion.......set fourth by the selfish nature of man ....everything man puts his hands on gets tainted.....including the book.....the true word of god I feel has been lost but can be found if you search deep withhin ...I tend to feel his word is scattered amoungst every religion....everyone probably holds a little truth here and there... Make no mistake I love god.......I have no shame in sying so.......many christans on this site, no offense but for example... this post.....act like victims........and that is not what your duty is as a servent of God......you already know you will be persecuted....so .....as a practicing "Christian".....why don't you accept it....I'm not saying you deserve it .....but geeez.......I think the disgust is more or less with twisted curches ....and the iggnorance of people who follow wrongly......You may not be one of those people...but really only you and god know if you are....... Do not mistake this for hate.....not from me..... I am not a victim, or a martyr. I am sincerely seeking answers in a place I know many do not care for the Christian belief system. But for plainly clueless people to "demand" others care about something they themselves can't be bothered to learn about, is really freakin' annoying. And not just reading the bible, but understanding the the thing, and how their religion has fit into the world. Not in the current "bubble" manner, but it's roots in judaism, and interactions with other religions throughout the last 2000 years. I'm not even talking a scholarly pursuit, just a casual interest. Maybe that's it, in a nutshell. Most christians aren't even interested in their own religion. Anonymous Coward User ID: 495807 United States 10/17/2008 12:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ive been wounded by the judgement and hypocrisy in all forms of church, especially the christians. i appreciate all the real christians out there that are full of love and acceptance for all. but i do not like when faux-christians look at my tattoos and then turn their noses and ignore me. i did not like it when i found my grandmother going through my CDS, and when i found her on my bed looking at my sketchbook. she tried to scold me about who i was, and told me that i made her sad. that i was going to hell and burn there for eternity if i didnt stop listening to certain CDs, and stop drawing certain things. (like nude studies, religious collages, etc) it hurts when so-called christians judge and put fear into people. because i was so tormented and traumatized by my grandmother with hell and brimstone preachings, that i started to feel like an awful person. also, another grandmother told me as a young child that God didnt love women as much as men, that women are less and property. i cried in my bedroom after that and felt worthless. and you ask why others hate? the only reason i stopped hating is because i found it in my heart to love these people with awful messages of fear. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 385124 United States 10/17/2008 12:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | the problem with the religion is that Jesus is manipulated for the self serving interests of the Christian followers. They take advantage of his struggle and message in an effort to forgive their sins. We all know that we live in a world where sins have a significant effect on others. The religio as a whole is more damaging then it is serving. There is no self responsiblilty in claiming that Jesus died for our sins. In fact I would argue that Jesus died because of our sins and in his love, begged God to forgive us for them, but in no way does that mean we are free and clear. |

That is incredibly insulting. If they stopped that nonsense, they would be much more Christian. Of course they never will. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 528846You and your relatives are all going to Hell, not because you believe differently than Christians, but because you are a part of fallen humanity. The only crime that you have to be guilty of to send you to hell...is being born. There is a way out though, and the rejection of that "salvation" will put into full force your fallen condition, and no amount of good deeds will save you from your fallen condition. |

Wingedlion/Whiterider User ID: 526273 United States 10/17/2008 12:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Most "Christians" have arrived at their present state of belief not due to independent thinking, but to being brainwashed as children. Ask them their reasoning behind one of their particular beliefs and they will either say something completely bonkers, refer you to their pastor, or quote from the Bible. Quoting: Dr. BeardfaceAlmost every one I've met is a self-righteous, hypocritical, holier-than thou ignoramus who inevitably has a stunningly flawed and skewed view of the world around them. Historically, Christians have been responsible for unbelievable amounts of violence and murder in the form of wars, crusades, etc. There are lots more reasons I could type, but I have to take a shit and shower before work. This is nothing more than an excuse birthed in the fallow ground of Bull shit! The truth be told, most people who are antagonistic to the gospel do not understand why they hate Christianity or why they are irritated by anyone inferring that they may be "sinners". But the truth is that men love darkness rather than light, and that light hurts our sensitivity to the darkness, which we love to hold onto. That is the real reason why we hate Christ. The Scriptures are clear, that friendship with the world is enmity against God. The two can never be joined together. Either you will love the one and hate the other or vice versa. This business of Christians being mindless auto-cons, is pure bull shit. Most Christians have made the decision to follow Christ out of great repentance to their fallen condition, and have done so with great sacrifice. Those who dwell in darkness do not understand the light enough to give any kind of definitive prognosis to the mental state of a person who makes this decision. When a person is Born again, their desire for war, violence, and hate is replaced with the life and grace of Jesus Christ. They are incapable of any such deeds, so this is nothing more than an excuse to justify your own sinful condition; and no amount of shitting and showering before work can wash away the guilt of a sinful life. |
