Personally, I don't know of any technology that can "kill every human at the push of a button". It sounds like this putative technology will be used to justify a highly invasive "panopticon" apparatus (cameras in every bedroom, microphones embedded in every wall, etc.) in the service of a totalitarian world system.
To what extent will people need to be sold on such a system, and how will they be persuaded? When all is said and done, will reasonable people suspect deception? |

What you are forgetting is this:
Today, they have the secret technology and they are playing god. They have been doing this for a long, long time. Thousands of years in fact, but with less dangerous technology. More recently, all the droughts, floods and other "natural disasters" are them playing god.
So we are changing that now.
The ancient ethnocentric elite realize now, that the technology is way to fucking dangerous for them to play god with it more. Also, the fact that the Chinese, Japanese, Russians, Thais, Koreans and many others have told them to stop doing it helps make them realize that this new system of honesty must be constructed to prevent a technological doomsday. |

The people of China and Japan now have in their hands a historic opportunity to create permanent peace on earth. With such technology we could make the deserts and arctic regions bloom with life even as we travel to the stars.
A world government would allow us to replenish the seas with fish and rebuild our precious eco-systems. The poor could become well-educated, well-nourished and filled with hope.
If on the other hand, the Asians agree to bail out the Nazis who have taken over the US government, they will continue with their horrific genocidal plans. They will simply continue to manufacture disease, war and starvation in order to maintain their grip on humanity.
We are at a historical moment of great import. We have reached a harmonic situation where the peoples of the world face a choice between a win-win solution and a lose-lose solution. I sure hope the Asians grab their destiny.

Pursuasion won't take much. It will probably take about one hour for most people, but a few days for the rest. Once people see what can be done with the tech, they will get very scared, but also very enlightened as to the technology paradigm. |
