It is very unlikely that Christians will be able to positively identify the Antichrist. The Word of God says that the body of Christ is removed before the Antichrist comes on the scene, see 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4,8). 2 Thessalonians 2:7 says, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” It is the church who must be taken out of the way before the Antichrist can rise up.

So, the church is air lifted off the terra firma prior to the rapture? Seriously? To defend your position you’ve cited 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8; I’m curious though, did you read the entire chapter? Take a look at the preceding passage below.

I will have to disagree with you on this one DPS. There is no co-oberating evidence that the "he" that is mentioned in this passage, is the Holy Spirit, and it certainly does not make sense for the Holy Spirit to be "taken out" during any time on earth. If that were the case, then no one could be saved during the tribulation period, for "no man can call Jesus Lord except it were given him of the Holy Ghost."

Well, no, people were saved before Christ came - they were saved by faith in the coming of the Messiah and keeping the commandments of God. Their faith was counted to them as righteousness.

Same way they'll be saved after the Rapture. But only 144,000.

antichrist will apparently be assassinated, then resurrected from the dead. Whether or not he really dies is another issue. Satan does not hold the key to life, but will attempt a counterfeit resurrection, which, even if it was really a resurrection, is incomplete since The Antichrist will have a darkened right eye and a dried up arm.
