Why do they charge you 11 dollars/person and then have the balls to make you watch ads. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 519394Why? Because the movie theater doesn't make a single penny from ticket sales, that all goes to the people who made the movie. The theater only makes money on ads and food and drinks. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 833036 05/23/2010 12:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was having panic attacks through the summer of 1998, and being in a movie theater was one of the things that brought them on. It sucked, because I was always going to movies. I think the first one was when I went to see Armageddon (7/98). It was so shit-awful that I had a panic attack. At the time, I had to be at work at 4AM, so in my mind, I had to be in bed by 8PM or I would die. So I walked out about 10 minutes before the end. I had another one during "Knock Off" with Jean-Claude Van Damme, but again, it's partly because the movie was such a turd. I walked out of "The Parent Trap" but came back in; I was with my family, and was too embarassed to explain why I couldn't come back in. After a few months, I was able to enjoy movies again (what few there were to enjoy). The first one I sat all the way through was "Antz" (premiered 10/98). I think conquering that fear helped me get over the panic disorder eventually. I wish I could have walked out on "Date Movie" but I was with some people. I just bitched very loudly about it afterwards. |

I dont think i have ever walked out of a movie no matter how bad or good it was. i have watched some pretty crappy movies, and i still find something about them that i can enjoy to some extent. there is no such thing as a bad movie, just a bad perspective from the viewer. There is Art in every film. they dont hand out refunds at most theaters if you dont like the movie. Only for technical issues. Like if the sound is messed up on the reel, etc |

We were too freaked out. We slipped into Superman 2 across the hall, which was a good call. I've since seen Raiders and am a little amused by how childishly easy to scare we were but both were great films . |

I'm a big fan of Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, but I only made through about 20 minutes of that celluloid atrocity. Should have walked out of: The Other Sister Batman & Robin The Butterfly Effect Ha...I loved it! Your day will come... |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 978429 05/23/2010 09:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Scary Movie. It was shit, seriously how did they ever make it into a franchise, just an awful film with no merit what so ever. A case of the Emperors new clothes just like Pirates of the Caribbean 3, "Yes, but why's the plot, acting and sense of fun gone?". ....Did I mention how much I hate Scary Movie? Because I do... really... quite a lot.... Oh and any thing with Martin Lawrence in it. |

I promised my husband we would buy the movie and we did. my friends walked out of Menace to Society. and Jurassic park. .A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.
