-I would ask for proof and a hand in creating the new future

What if those aliens claimed they started all the religions on earth?
-I would discuss this with them in detail if I could

What if those aliens claimed that they have been "guiding our evolution"?
-I would thank them, and ask to facilitate any other 'projects' they have, with a skeptical point of view though (perhaps they evolved us only to use us)

For me it would change nothing, my personal connection with GOD leaves out no possibilities since GOD is infinite therefore all things are possible through him.

Christians (I am one in the classical sense) for the most part put "God" in some kind of defined box.

Just because in Genesis GOD speaks that he has created the heavens and the earth and created man in his likeness and given man the authority over the beasts, where did he say "and man shall be alone, I shall not create anything ever again nor have I created anything before you...."

Nope, since GOD created angels, before man, "man" came about because his angels had fallen from the grace of GOD. Adam was not an angel so GOD therefore in the infinite non-time of his existence created others and more earths and more heavens...

"Man" only knows the small sliver of GOD's existence.

Should aliens land and confirm they are something not of "this" earth, then nothing will have changed, a new era of mankind could hopefully begin putting one question to bed.

What if they land and proceed to wipe out mankind unhindered well that would be bad of course but maybe it would be some sort of weird karma, after all the Spanish landed in Mexico and proceeded to steal and kill all the natives and humans have done this throughout the ages, slaughtering the native populations for their own benefit... tragic really.

So how could we expect some other race to not one day do the same to us?

What makes us special or immune to think some alien race should be nice or our benefactors only wanting to see us "humans" evolve and become civilized ?

What if the cold hard truth is all of creation live by a kill or be killed ethic? That there is no truth to highly evolved "peaceful" existence ?

Scary thought, I think as a race of beings interconnected through GOD we can chose our own destiny. We can alter the stream of what is to be. But we have to evolve we have to find the path, we have to find a way to stop killing each other.
