Please somebody embed this video. It is an interview from 1995 where Obama states that the white executives in the suburbs do not want their taxes to pay for black kids to go to school. He blames all the problems of the African American community on white people, and compares the plight of Black People in America to the ethnic genocide of Bosnia and Africa.

He admits that his redistribution of the wealth is directly to save the Black Community and for his own salvation.

This is the crux of his Socialism Program.

We spend more on schools than almost any other country. $350 Billion Annually! There is something severely wrong with our system and it is definitely not monetary. I pay some of the highest property taxes in this nation to fund the public schools. $6,000 annually, and that is for a modest house. I do not think throwing more money at them is going to solve the problem. There is no motivation for these children to learn, and it starts at home.



Funding for K-12 schools

According to a 2005 report from the OECD, the United States is tied for first place with Switzerland when it comes to annual spending per student on its public schools, with each of those two countries spending more than $11,000 (in U.S. currency). [50] Despite this high level of funding, U.S. public schools lag behind the schools of other rich countries in the areas of reading, math, and science. [51] As noted above, while arguments can be made whether overall funding is adequate, the amount actually reaching the classroom level is not adequate to fully fund classroom activities.[52]

According to a 2007 article in The Washington Post, the Washington D.C. public school district spends $12,979 per student per year. This is the third highest level of funding per student out of the 100 biggest school districts in the U.S. Despite this high level of funding, the school district provides outcomes that are lower than the national average. In reading and math, the district's students score the lowest among 11 major school districts - even when poor children are compared only with other poor children. 33% of poor fourth graders in the U.S. lack basic skills in math, but in Washington D.C., it's 62%.
