I tend to believe that it depends on your "Karma". Ravens and Crows are a sign that higher powers are around. You know if you should worry or be happy to see them!

Ravens are bad because a cult co-opted the symbology.

Could be the 'demon' Raum. He often appears as a crow or raven initially. He'll change to a human shape if you make him though...

In my life
a raven has always been a very good sign.

I love to see them,and I love hearing them.

There was a nesting pair across the road from my house
in the woods, this last spring.

Always seems to brighten my day
to hear their "Grok" first thing in the morning.

birds are never bad omens. a bird doesn't have one shred of negative or negative-attracting energy in its make-up whatsoever. they are pure sweetness.

negative omens about birds were born of human beings' subconscious jealousies over the birds ability to fly. we have been trying to perfect flight and imitate the birds' power for ages, but we still cannot do it as simply and naturally as they do.

edit: oddly enough, as soon as I posted that, a bunch of crows settled just outside my window. they are staring right at me, all of them. they can feel the love <3

We haven't got ravens here, but I love the crows.

The only negative portent I've ever heard about a raven or crow it that it's bad luck if one perches on a ship that's underway.

The last time I saw a lone raven...he landed on my hood while I was parked...I thought it was strange since a bird has never done that. I started my car, turned the corner, only to be broad-sided by an 18-wheeler. I spent 2 days in Hospital.

Next time I see a raven land on my head, i'll take it as a very real warning.
