tomorrow User ID: 534998 United States 10/27/2008 09:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Loosely based on the serial killer Ed Gein. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Somewhere I had a book on him. He really did kill a woman, hung her from a hook, decapitated and gutted. Police suspected Gein's involvement in the disappearance of a hardware store owner, Bernice Worden, in Plainfield on November 16, 1957. Upon entering a shed on his property, they made the first discovery of the night: Worden's corpse. She had been decapitated, her headless body hung upside down by means of ropes at her wrists and a crossbar at her ankles. The torso was empty, the ribcage split and the body "dressed out" like that of a deer. These mutilations had been performed postmortem; she had been shot at close-range with a .22-caliber rifle. Searching the house, authorities found:[citation needed] * Human skulls mounted upon the corner posts of his bed * Skin fashioned into a lampshade and used to upholster chair seats * Human skullcaps, apparently in use as soup bowls * A human heart (it is disputed where the heart was found; deputy reports all claimed that the heart was in a saucepan on the stove, while some crime scene photographers claimed it was in a paper bag) * Skin from the face of Mary Hogan, a local tavern owner, found in a paper bag * A window shade pull consisting of human lips * A vest crafted from the skin of a woman's torso * A belt made from several human nipples * Socks made from human flesh * A sheath made from human skin * A box of preserved vulvas that Gein admitted to be wearing * An array of "shrunken heads" |

That's damn creative!! |

That's damn creative!! I can see the inspiration for Hannibal Lecter in Mr. Gein. Another couple very good and disturbing serial killer books: -The Stranger Beside Me - Anne Rule about Ted Bundy. She KNEW him and worked with him on a suicide hotline before he was detected, and she started writing the book before he was caught. -Every Move You Make - Gary Evans. Eluded the police for decades, was known primarily as a high art thief and informant. One of the most brilliant criminals you will ever read about. -A book about Lemuel Smith (title escapes me at the moment). Written from an anthropological perspective you don't know at the end what really happened, except that he apparently got away with killing a lot of people, including a female prison guard who he managed to get out of the prison and into a landfill. -Buried Dreams - John Wayne Gacy. Buried almost 30 young boys under his house in Des Plaines, IL. Got caught when he started dumping them in the Des Plaines river. Also known as the truly evil clown. This is the only book that ever made me sick to read. When he was caught, he drew a map of all the boys buried under the house. |
