What's the real reason governments want smokers to quit?
Quote

They spend millions of dollars on advertising anti smoking, ban smoking just about everywhere in public. I mean WTF. I don't believe for one minute that they care about our health since they are happy to spray chemtrails, continue to use fossil fuels, flouride in water, pesticides in food. Well, you get the picture.

So what's the real reason they are singling out smokers.

One theory is that smokers' lungs are coated with gunk, preventing some of the biological weapons from colonizing the human lung.

Why would we want to sue the government or the company for that matter. No one makes anyone smoke.

it's not up to governments to dictate the 5 W's of your life....... after all each and every one is run by a legion of parasites and assorted scum.

they benefit from our comings and goings to the Nth degree regardless of what we do, and you'd better realise that they do freely as they please........... down to the lowest ranking 'official' or 'representative'.

don't tread on me.

it takes on a new meaning.

because America just like most west European countries already have, will be getting a free national healthcare service eventually and they dont want to spend $50 billion dollars a year treating bronchitis, emphysema and lung cancer victims.

They have a lot of leverage against smokers because of all the anti-smoke people. There's no public outcry when they choose to tax us to death. Freedom only counts in certain instances, apparently.

They certainly don't want smokers to quit, a ton of money would be lost for all sorts of projects.

Smokers tend to not live as long as non smokers and in the long run cost less than healthier people for health care and social security payouts.

yes but in the last two years of their life they require a disproportionate amount of healthcare costs. in a free national health system at the point of use, these costs are unfair on other people who havent spent their lives poisoning themselves.

here's a thought-

anti-christ... demons cannot tolerate burning tobacco.
Ask any Shaman, from old days to now, why they pray in a circle of burning tobacco?
In many, many cultures they practice burning tobacco to keep demond away.

Re: What's the real reason governments want smokers to quit?Quote

Those anti-smoking ads are paid-for by tabacco companies.
They got the money that Hillary Clinton's brother & other lawyers in Florida left after they took a massive share for themselves.
Tabbacco is heavily taxed, and the 1st tax they raise when they want to squeeze more cash from citizens.
If the government really wanted people to quit, they would spend the money on treatment for nicotine addicts, instead-of stupid ad-campaigns.
Look how much money is generated by keeping pot & other drugs illegal. Jobs for jailers, courts...
Do you really think the government dosen't want people to do things that bring-in so much money?

And, just for the record, all of those illnesses that you attribute to smoking, Don't be so sure about that.
Its easy to blame smoking as a common denominator when everyone smokes. So now that so many have quit, are the rates of those illnesses going-down?
No. So they blame "second-hand" smoke! This current genration could produce people who have truly not been exposed to smoke or smoking, so we shall soon see how much good it has done.

I have been sprayed with some crap while in this planet. Smoked menthol cigs for 20+ years. But what has cause the most notable harmful effects in the least amount of time are cellphones. Having a ear piece helps a little.

I don't believe that, unless they mean the smoke that goes into the air, while the cig is burning. Certainly not after it's exhailed.

But most people still will poison themselves with incense, various types of glade type smelly shits, oil warmers, scent sprays, etc. Lysol, all that shit, it's all way worse for your health than second hand tobacco smoke.

Hell, your cologne or deodorant is probably a greater threat to humanity (and your own health!)at large than any cigarette.

Ages are getting higher and cancer treatment is improving. Which simply means that overall getting cancer because of smoking is becoming far more expensive for the government to fix.

Annoys the shit out of me though, go play health police on yourself fuckers.

It's not about money spent on treatment. In the UK the tax on tobacco is so high that it virtually funds the NHS, yet only about ten percent of the tax raised is spent on 'smoking related' diseases. In other words, smokers are funding the treatment of non-smokers. No, there's a lot more to it than that. As somebody has intimated, maybe smokers lungs are not 'receptive' to various biological and chemical agents. When the big cull comes, wouldn't it be funny if only smokers survived?
