I would almost (I said almost) vote for McCain just to hear Michelle Obama shreiking at the caterers to take back the Iranian caviar and throwing dishes at the waitresses and hostess!

"Don't buy the hype." That's right, Baldwin actually has 70% of the public, Nader 10% , but its correct that McCain/Obama are both tied for 10% each.

No need to cancel anything!

McCain on the other hand will probably suffer a heart attack when he gets the news that his republican minions weren't able to 'fix' the election. He's counting on a 'surprise' at the polls which will never work.

Better get used to saying President Obama!

On the contrary, I do! This election is different since there are protections in place to prevent the election from being stolen this time. One week will tell and tell that your sliver of hope for a mccain victory was a farce!

I believe there is good chance

McCain wins popular vote

Obama wins electoral college

if that happens, I will enjoy all the people suddenly changing their minds and start praising the electoral college

Even with that poll Obama still has around 50%. That poll does not include first time voters.

What's really funny is you guys are really stretching just to find a poll that shows McCain is not that far behind. At least in 2004 we could find polls that actually showed Kerry in the lead.

The point for me is that McCain is close enough, so that a surprise this week can put him over the top. Look for a disparaging tape from now till Friday. If it doesn't happen, I smell a Kerry-like roll over.

Interesting how you chose to leave out that this is a poll of "likely voters."

Obama has virtually won 6 out of 8 swing states. McCain really has to pull off a miracle at this point.

Almost every poll has has media bias built-in. Now, as we get closer to the actual election, they will start to reflect the true numbers, so they don't look so inept when McCain wins. It was all a big ploy to influence the election. Most the media is Leftist.

Re: Don't buy the hype..latest Gallup (TODAY) shows McCain / Obama virtually tied...
I wish people would use common sense before posting, but there is no hope for that here.

You do realize Gallup has 3 models. Registered, Likely Voters (Expanded), Likely Voters (Traditional). The Registered and Likely Voters expanded show Obama with a 5-7 point lead. The Likely Voter (Traditional) shows Obama with a 2 point lead. This particular model has been up and down. With traditional, it is mostly landlines which are called. They also do not take into account new voters, and use the margins for voter demographics in old elections. Considering all this, it is amazing Obama leads it at all. There are more registered Democrats now than in 2004 in many states. Way more. Democrats are voting 2-1 sometimes 3-1 in early voting. So you can cling on to an outlier poll but I predict that Obama will win by 5 percentage points nationally and the electoral college will be a landslide.
