Put in your location, the date and time and look at how the ecliptic runs from northeast in the mornings now through southwest in the late afternoon. This is simply caused by the tilt of the earth's rotational axis at 23 degrees to the ecliptic and the season we're in now. It's Astronomy 101.

To all you "Sun moving" and "moon moving" people:

IF anything IS moving, it's the EARTH!!!! Perhaps WE are rotating on our axis which is causing our PERCEPTION OF THE SUN and MOON locations to change.

this is the second day that the sun is BLAZING on my face through my office window at this time.. not the norm at all!

Thats the sun adjusting for daylight savings time - part of a new government law to save energy.

That way not only will you clocks that automatically adjust be wrong so you have to reset them twice a year - but the ones that don't automatically adjust will to - so this change is to make it so you don't ever have to adjust your clock at all - its all done through the sun since the new law was passed which Obama and Mcain both signed.

Right now there is a tidal abberant thread on GLP. Maybe the Earth has wobbled or is wobbling more than perceived before. Hmmmmm.

I think that is what most people mean...I guess we should say something like the moon/sun yesterday was located above the big tree in my yard and today it is 30 degrees to the left of the tree this morning at the same time of day...or something like that.

We all know that. What do you expect someone to say? OMG, the earth rolled and it made the sun like it moved too far the other way.

i had a really bizarre dream a couple of weeks ago.. and the earth started rotating so fast it knocked everyone to their feet....

as i lay on the shaking ground in my dream.. i watched the sun sailing across the sky at about the speed of an airplane.. and then it got dark fast...

freaky.... i never have dreams like this...

Everything in our solar system moves.
The sun moves/orbits very slowly around the center of the Milky Way.
Earth and the other planets orbit the Sun.
The moon orbits Earth and the Sun and so on…

The earth could be going through something called “Nutation”, which causes the Earth’s axis to wobble or move irregularly.
Or perhaps Polar Motion because the ice caps have been melting.This can cause the poles to drift over a period of a few years.This has happened in the 1950’s, 1800’s…so on.

Other’s believe we could be going through a Polar reversal/Shift, in which the poles completely switch places.
Seeing as there has been a weaking of our magnetic field, climate change, animals in the wild are having trouble discerning north from south and so fourth…I would not say that it is unbelivable to believe that this could be happening.

Whatever might be happening, I would think that the position of the Sun, the time it takes for it to rise/set and other changes that are happening to our planet would not seem normal to us in any of these scenarios.
You also have to take into account that other planets around us are also going through changes as well and our Heliosphere(which protects us from gamma rays) is weaking.

There could be many things that are happening at once or one thing that is effecting everything else.

Do you think there would be a time when pilots could no longer find their flight paths due the sudden changes of directions? Just a question nagging my mind when I saw your post.

I think eventually, 'things' would become more fixed again, so a new set of bearings would be needed. Assuming things didn't fix in the same position they were in before they shifted.
