Didn't anyone tell her Halloween was over? This could possibly rank as the worst fashion disaster in modern history. What bigger event could you possible think of to make a fool out of yourself. What a horrible way to start as 1st lady. The first thing she has to do is give that dress to someone she really hates. I hope she doesn't put black and red drapes in the Oval Office.

Our First Lady Michele Obamas dress was black with what looked to be a red hour glass, looking to me like a Black Widow Spider underside. I liked the Red dress that the oldest daughter had on, too bad both dresses were not made the same "color". We'll have to wait to see who makes the worst dressed list.

The Pied Piper and the Black Widow spider

The message seems clear

Having used and then finished with her 'paramours', the black widow spider then turns on and devours them...which is exactly what is going to happen to all the swooning obamaniacs who actually allowed themselves to be seduced by the music of the Pied Piper's magical flute.

Yeah, plus, it's a statement about that characteristic of the Michelle-Barack relationship that we're all probably most familiar with... She keeps his feet on the ground, checks any edge of vanity or arrogance... That whole, "Don't screw it up, buddy," thing. Barack's paradox is... He can be a great man, but only as long as he tempers any arrogance about that greatness... exactly like America's paradox. And imagine being him right now, with the whole world investing so many hopes and dreams in him and talking about him like he's the second coming of Christ or something... I mean I do, too... I love him... But even the Buddha himself would occasionally get a bit of a big head. So there's Michelle... She's not going to do the black widow thing simply to HIM, but rather, she's going to take any edge of vanity or conceit or arrogance, and she's going to kill and eat THAT... but not before she gets him home and reaps what she can from THAT... in the bedroom.

On the night when awesome power became the additional major theme of the phenomObamanon, THAT'S when she came out dressed like a black widow spider. I didn't read the rest of these posts but I wanted to chime in that I sensed a weird vibe from the dress and I think it is because of what you are referring to. The black widow. That is a bad omen. Crap.... Things were looking so good.

She made a statement with that dress and only a few people picked it up so far.... but ALL THE WOMEN watching thought it was a terrible dress (even Oprah!)

She just has poor taste. I saw her earlier in the campaign in some hideous like 1950-60's type empire waisted dresses that looked home sewn. LIke June Cleaver type things.
