NO TRESPASSING LAWS- Who can help me please?
If someone 'Trespasses" onto my private property, what can I do?

Can they be dealt with using force? how much force?

Is it dependant upon each state? (USA Here)

Basically if I post "DO NOT TRESPASS" signs and someone I perceive as "enemy who may/may not do harm" trespasses, what can I do? Whats the 'maximum" I can do?

Depends on the state and locality. If you have enough property there is always S3.

Shoot ...Shovel .....Silence.

Well, you are allowed to use reasonable force

Try gettin a policeman to explain to you what that actually counts as though...

Best thing, kill the cheeky trespassing monkies and burry the body elsewhere.

ANOTHER QUESTION:

where I live, it is an open carry/gun state. To conceal it, you need to get a permit.
Now some towns, though they respect the law, frown upon it-

Example: One town allows you to wear a holster and carry your firearm, but next town won't. Everywhere I go, I have to check what town I am in, in order to carry it lol

I dont want a concealed permit, because open carry is a deterrent in itself, so I wouldnt have to use the gun to protect my family.

In my state, if you post "No Trespassing" signs on your property, that is an open invite for any law enforcement to search your property...since by law, they have to make sure that no-one is trespassing.

And it is only lawful to harm another person if they are inside your house and threatening bodily harm...so if you have a scuffle on your lawn, make sure to drag 'em inside.

How much property do you have?

Above all, I think it comes down to reason. Are you asking about whether or not you have the excuse to legally shoot somebody if you see them standing on your property? Listen, if you're that hard about the chance to use your gun to kill somebody, then I question your mental state.

If I was cutting across your yard to investigate.. say, some object I witnessed falling out of the sky, and you shot at me once or twice.. I'd have you investigated.

Maybe you could get a restraining order.I wanted to do that with a neighbor that threatened to kill me ,but they wanted to charge me just to fill out some paperwork.

Here you go this one has more teeth than your ordinary bought at Wal-Mart no trespassing sign... It will be up to you to learn what these laws are and when they apply.

Re: NO TRESPASSING LAWS- Who can help me please?
I heard a paint ball gun was good. That way if you nail them, it is kinda hard for them to explain how they got nailed if they weren't on your property. The problem with killing someone, it is usually the wrong person. Rock salt was popular in shotgun shells before paint ball.

Other thing is if you have a choice, buy insurance, not an alarm system. No one will come or report your alarm system going off.

If you rent, get the owner to grant you Power of Attorney, because if there is a problem and someone is trespassing on the land, the owner is allowed to call the sheriff not you.

No Trespassing signs are in valid unless they have your name, address and contact # on them.

Just thought I would pass that along. If you shoot someone, the first question you will get is, Does your signs have that info on them.

BTW OP This is all one sign and if you use it be sure to re size the (NOTICE
PRIVATE PROPERTY)part so it can be easily read.

I highlighted the whole document and enlarged the whole thing until it fits on the whole page. The standard No Trespassing signs don't seem to have the teeth I've been looking for. Thanks.

I put one up on the inside picture window of the farmhouse that keeps getting broken in to. I'm still trying to figure out how to automate the sound recording of a gun cocking a shell in to the chamber as the person stoops to read the notice.

Re: NO TRESPASSING LAWS- Who can help me please?
Remember when referencing any form of "Government" and due to the nature of that governing body, being a constructive creation of the legislature, reference to such construction is to be addressed as the "State of the Forum". Never use the generic term "Government" as that term when offered by you sets up the presumption that you recognize said state of the forum as applicable to governing you in the flesh. The corporate state of the forum can only govern legislative created entities, not the natural man or woman. When a man or woman commit an actual trespass on the rights or property of another, all process then moves silently to common law proceedings. (There is no overt appearance that such traverse to common law proceedings takes place, though the court (judge) takes silent judicial notice of such traverse in fact. This traverse to common law process reaches such parties as murders, burglars, rapists and the such, as it's not their public vessel that has committed the crime in fact.
