Has anyone had Toxic Mold in their home?

Ever since Jan. I've been as sick as a dog.I suffer from
beyond severe asthma, stabbing pain through out my entire body, burning sensation in feet. Stabbing pain in the corner and on top of my eyes. Fatigue, memory loss, confusion... and many other things.

Please has anyone out there suffered from these symptoms too with a diagnosis? My docs just keep saying it's a lung issue and do NOTHING about it!!!!!!!!!!! I'm at my wits end! I truly feel like Im going to die from my asthma.

I lived in a house that had mold inside the walls for several years. During that time and ever since, I've had breathing problems. Asthma (which I NEVER suffered from before) allergies, chronic bronchitis AND emphysema. All contracted, I'm sure, from that home. My doctor at the time kept giving me antibiotics and telling me I had bronchitis and to stop smoking. My lungs were full of mucous and I had a terrible cough. I was beyond tired but I also have fibromyalgia and nerve damage so I wasn't aware that mold could cause the same symptoms with the burning in the hands and feet, pain, etc. I finally was able to move out but had to bring many of my things with me (how do you throw away everything that you own?). I switched doctors and now see a pulmonary specialist who is the one who informed me that I had asthma, emphysema and bronchitis. I have tried all sorts of inhalers, allergy meds, and now I am getting monthly allergy shots. Nothing seems to help really. It's miserable. I don't doubt that I'll soon be on oxygen. I'm 42 and have been sick from this for about the last 6 years. Change doctors if this one isnt going to help you. Do it now and get out if you can.

OMG! You sound like me! Only I don't smoke! I get stabbing searing pain in my heart and lungs...but they check out ok. When I'm having asthma the bottom of my feet burn! I get random stabbing pains in my organs and in my body and eyes. My tounge and jaw just forward for no reason and I bite my tounge.

I get stabbing pains in my heart and lungs as well. And like you, my heart and lungs checked out okay too, although I did have pneumonia for awhile. I also get pains in other organs, especially my spleen, pancreas and kidneys. Do you also have digestive problems? And the muscle twitches and random head jerking drives me crazy. I hate the heart pounding the most. I also have candida yeast and parasites...am working diligently to get rid of those now.

I hope that you will change doctors as well. Go see a naturopath, homeopath or some other type of alternative doctor. You will never get well if you treat the symptoms and not the whole body.

Obviously, when you got pneumonia you were in a weakened state and it started affecting you then. Why do you think it's mold though?

Because NOTHING helps and I keep getting worse and everytime we take a vacation I start to improve until we get home. Then I get the SEVERE asthma, stabbing pains, pain in my neck and head like I'm going to have a stroke, stabbing and searing pains in my chest and heart........ but I don't understand why my husband and stepsons don't have it.

My son, daughter, and my ex all lived in the house I described and I ended up with the breathing problems, my daughter has the skin issues, rashes, eczema, boils..though I never related them to mold until now. (blame that on the memory problems, I guess) Nobody else who lived there got sick. Who knows why. Some people are more sensitive to it. I'm glad you brought this up. Before this post, I hadn't given alternative treatments much thought, but the doctors aren't helping. I think I am going to look into buying some brown seaweed extract and that ozone spray sounds helpful too. Good luck, hope you feel better, and take this VERY seriously!!

To even have somebody on this planet that undestands what I am going through has me sobbing tears right now. Tears of relief. Some of the doctors that I have been to try to make me feel like it's all in my head except for the fact my brathing function tests are pure shit...like 130 and my once below normal blood pressure is now at times 178/117 when it WAS 108/80 ( but normal for me, I am very small).
