My s.o. was Hendrix's drummer in the Blue Flames. Also his roomy. It's in a book about Hendrix.
Anyway, they were playing Cafe Wa, when Chas Chandler walked in. He waved goodies and perks at Jimi, on the condition that he work with Mitchell & whoever else that was in the Experience.
So, my s.o., Randy California, and another friend of theirs (Randy Palmer - I think) , moved on into other bands.

Mitch Mitchell was a Great Drummer. Started as a jazz drummer. Loved his sound!
